Was just passing through, but couldn't help but comment on this inherently flawed logic... :2 cents:

I do not one to come off as some know it all young douchebag but in the pre internet days gas was cheaper, groceries were cheaper, eating out was cheaper, going to the movies was cheaper, rent was cheaper and people were not paying $50 a month for internet and $50 a month cell phone bills.

I agree. I remember paying $500 in rent for a 1bd 1ba in Los Angeles back in the early 2000's and the gas prices back then almost seem like a dream now.

Right... and while your rent and gas prices have certainly increased, so have the rent and gas prices for the performers and producers of adult material. (who are also paying internet and cell phone bills, just like you.) Entertainment costs have increased all around... Movie/cinema prices have more than doubled. Video games have become more expensive. It's called inflation. Minimum wage has also drastically increased in the last 10-15 years. In contrast, porn has actually become cheaper for consumers than it was back then, and contract performers make considerably less than they did a decade ago.

I'm not arguing with anyone over what is a fair price to pay - it is entirely dependent on the website and what it has to offer, and what that means to YOU in terms of value. There's not really a right or wrong answer here, it's completely subjective. Same goes for all forms of mainstream entertainment. For example, I rarely watch movies in theatres, but went to one last month at Cineplex and was shocked that a regular sized bag of shitty popcorn was $15. That's more than the cost of the movie ticket! To me, the inflated price isn't worth it, and much like some of you vow to never pay for porn, I'll probably go the rest of my life without setting foot in a movie theatre again, because it doesn't hold any value for me. Only difference is I won't be pirating the films I want to see.

If anyone is interested.... FreeOnes OCSM Siri wrote an article on the issue of paying for your porn that might provide some of you with a bit of insight and a fresh perspective.

For those who do pay to support your favorite performers or companies, whether via a recurring membership, an occasional 30 day trial, individual clip purchase, or even waiting for a $5 sale as someone mentioned above, thank you for contributing to support an industry that you value. :glugglug:

I have two memberships to two hardcore sites.. so I pay about $50 a month for my porn. HOWEVERRR... to me, it's worth it. I used to spend way too much money watching/directing couples on live cam. It's not quite the same watching a pre-recorded video, but I get to flick my bean real quick to a pretty good variety of shit and that's just fine with me.

I could find all the same shit online for free, but being a performer myself, I pay.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Now I'll pay for porn. I have no problem going into a book store and buying a DVD, or joining some sites, if I feel the content would be there. If the girl has been around long enough to have a good amount of content. My problem comes with download limits, or in some cases problems with malware, and things like that. Although I haven't joined many sites, I tend to join for a month, then go back a few months later to catch up.

Actually the biggest problem here is that there are way too many hot girls and only one me. You can open a page with many galleries like FreeOnes and see thousands of hot babes spreading their legs for you. That's like a heaven for men. Dudes will end up getting their heads spinning and start to see little halo around their heads when they see all those hot girls spreading their legs, ready to fuck some brains off.

That's like when you are about to think, "Oh, hot babe spreading her legs. I'll register." and then you see another hot babe spreading her legs, and yet another babe spreading her legs. Before you even realize what has happened, your boner will be a goner and you'll have ended up with a list of hundreds names of hot babes and about to get a headache trying to make your mind of whose pussy you want to dive in first.

That kind of thing is getting way too complicated... just give that damn pussy, when man is in a need.

Guys have said it. I use the FreeOnes search engine in multiple ways for "research material" I also use the FreeOnes site review section when selecting adult sites. FreeOnes is a great site. It has many uses. ;)

As for the OP concern ... It all depends on what you're looking for ...

For example, $29.95/mo and a valid credit card will get you access to Tera Patrick's website (yes, she retired in 2008 but you have all that "research material" to do through :rubbel: ...), Silvia Saint's website, Peter North's website, Rocco Siffredi's website, and Devil Films, among others.

Vicky Vette's website runs you about $24.95/mo. But you have access to the 17 girls sites there and a multitude of live cam shows with ladies on the network and others in her VNA live arena.

Brazzers has a porn portal. Subscribe there to the main Brazzers site and you can have access to the many other sites there (Reality Kings, Mofos, Digital Playground, Reality Gang, Playboy Plus, Babes, etc; you can get access to them via a one time charge) as long as you keep the Brazzers site active.

Other sites could be cheaper: FTV, Mac & Bumble, Digital Desire, Aziani, and adult models, among them Xo Gisele, Bryci, and Network sites, cam show sites ... Pacinos Adventures, Brand Danger, Bang Bros, College Rules, Public Invasions, Naughty America, Streamate, etc., etc.

Again it depends on what you are looking for.

Bunch of cheap ass losers on here, and for those who can't afford $30 a month, I'm sure your local habib convenience store has 3 pack magazines for $10. You can tell Harry "limp" Cox has never had a girlfriend in his life, cause $30 a month on porn would be the last thing he would complain about when it comes to pussy, LOL!

Little Red Wagon Repairman

Step in my shop and I'll fix yours too.
Some people look for the path of least resistance and some for the path of cheapest resistance. I think everyone here could afford $30 per month but some don't see the value in it. There are a diverse group of fellas here some getting their dick wet often, sometimes, or never at all but I'm not sure that creates a consistent pattern of who buys porn and who just Googles the name or scene then types "tube" and enjoys his pornography at zero cost. I was in the "never at all" category of getting my dick wet('cept for all those cheapo scab hookers) and now I've upgraded to "sometimes" but that hasn't effected my porn buying habits. The money still stays in the wallet where it belongs. I might pick up the check at Outback Steakhouse to get a juicy slice of Sweet Pinay Poonanny Pie but that's less that 5 20s for all that honey.

I'm also a paying member of a site or two. I also pay for all of the music I download.

How many top 10 movies do you get on Netflix?

If people weren't willing to pay $30, the price would be lower.
I would never pay that, but I don't watch porn. I spend $8 a month on Netflix though, and I think that's reasonable.
Netflix is an extremely poor example for 2 reason.

1) If you take a top 10 movies list, you'll maybe get 1-2 on Netflix at best, and maybe 4-5 in the top 25. VNA has numerous top 10 ladies, and I'd argue a good majority are top 25.
2) Netflix has much higher economes of scale. In the same regard, if more people would pay for VNA, they could add even more ladies, for the same membership price.

To me, VNA Network is like having a HBO-Showtime bundle, especially being that many people sign a contract for 12+, often 24 (with mush higher rates for 13-24), months. With VNA, we're talking $199/year, so under $17/month. Between the 18+ ladies now, that's a lot of original content for the buck. I don't know what the problem is.

Even Netflix is going to be $15+ if you get the DVD/BluRay so you can get the latest movies in physical form. ;)

People also need to keep in mind that the VNA ladies are on here, on this board, and that's something they do for free. So that needs to be subsidized as well. Paying customers need to keep funding the women so they can eat.

Side Discussion: I never understood people (men especially) who think it's not worth paying for, yet they enjoy it or -- worse yet -- judge the women for doing something they enjoy, but act like it's not a real job that should not have the producer-consumer relationship.

I have a membership to DDF Network and JoyMii, the latter more for my wife, ironically because too many women I enjoy on DDF remind her of herself. Yes, my Hungarian wife loves women more American, and less curvy, than herself. But I'm seriously considering joining VNA now that Maggie Green is joining Siri Pornstar, two of the most beautiful, curvy, lingerie supermodel-class ladies out there right now. Although Welsh Sophie Dee is also a curvy doll, and Julia Ann in her "prime" years is even more beautiful, among others (I'll bring my lust to a close on that note). Again, that's a lot of content for under $17/month under the typical "contract" of 12+ months that a lot of home consumers sign every day.

And, again, imagine if more people paid as well. More women could join the network, thanx to the economies-of-scale, for the same, membership price. Which means I need to check with the boss if VNA will have +1 member soon. ;)

I pay for my porn, music, movies, etc. I hate when I see FREE written with porn because most of it is stolen content. Glad to know you think its ok to steal from people, you must be winning in life. You have no clue how much time and energy goes into running a website. It's not cheap and $29.99 a month isn't a lot when you are getting quality content. I also laughed at "I have bills to pay" so do the people that work in porn.

I have one question for all no-name porn girls; Even if piracy didn't exists, what makes you think that people would be willing to pay specifically for your porn over billions of other girls?

I don't care about any self-denial (I'm the perfection, everyone else if faulty) excuses of why your shit isn't selling (fans have shitty taste for not liking my perfect pussy. cover picture wasn't good enough in box, so photographer sucks. I didn't look as pretty as my perfection should, so makeup artist should be fired) or bullshit about how you enjoy having sex or your child laborers worked 7 nights and days non-stop, but simply; why this final product, "porn movies with you" are better than other porn movies?

This is slightly different when you take a name like Lisa Ann, who has been multiple times one of the most searched pornstars in relevant articles...

with so much free porn out now its a tough industry to justify the $29.99..I have my own site and do I feel its to much ..coming from the owner stand point with server fees CC processing fees my videos are produced and my photos are produced by a pro camera man and through editing. With all the cost involved its tough to justify a lower rate but the competition drives the prices down.

well it depends WHAT you get for your 30 bucks/month. You may find a solo girl site who replies every your message and turns to a kind of internet friend. also she streams live shows with no tokens goals so you just enjoy the show. Is it worth 30$? maybe. Also there could be a site for 30 which interacts with customers and gives them to vote for exmple for kind of script for new movie with the choosen girl. I mean there could be simple porn site for 30$ or could be something really interesting for 30$. you can't just set all adult sites in one line and say 30 for all of them is too much.

Most porn isn't "free" Its stolen content put on Tube sites and 100 percent illegal. People pay the rates or they don't but no one can justify watching illegal content.

I actually think 30 bucks is incredibly fair considering some of these big network sites update 2 or 3 times a day during the week.

Except it still may not really be worth it if a person won't download all those updates, but that's all personally speaking. Off the top of my head I can count on one hand the porno girls I'm actually fans of, and one of them is retired. So a big network site could update 2 or 3 times an hour and it still wouldn't be worth it to me. I guess depending on how varied a person's interest is in the all the different women, it could be worth it to that person.

YeAh maybe some big networks but what about smaller websites who lie to get $30 and then ban you when you tell them it's not correct to do that?

Like everything in life, we can't say "it's ok" or "it's too much", it just depends. $20.000 is too much for an old beat up small car but ot for a Lambo.
