Does anyone care about the Scottish Premier League?

Just a question ,does anyone really care about this football league?

Im Scottish and I like football but to be honest I lost interest in it in the mid 90's , I would just like to know peoples reactions worldwide if yz follow or have any interest in this league?

I mean the religious and secterianism followers of the big 2 Rangers and Celtic make me sick there is no place for this in a game , Celtic and Rangers are the only 2 teams to have won the league in the last 25 years , the last team outwith the old firm was Aberdeen in 84 , yet Aberdeen are still classed a big team in scottish terms!!!!

The old firm are so bad yet they are still miles ahead of anyone else , the league is run by dinosaurs from a bygone age , the rulers in Scotland continuosly make bad decisions for our game , not once can I remember them doing anygood for our game and taking it foward!!!

Plus our national team are a joke , managed by George Burley who continously makes bad desicions on team selections and tatics , a blind man can see this , I have no confidence in the powers that be too take Scottish football foward!!!

Also the league format has became tired and boring , playing each other 4 times a season in a 12 team league , sometimes 7 if yz meet each other in the cups has bred contempt , every team knows each other inside out and this leds to some of the worst games I have seen in my life , surely it would make sense to extend it to 16 or 18 and play each other twice , plus do away with the league cup , or just make it for teams that havent made it to Europe , plus give every scottish team the weekend of before a european game so they could prepare properly and get us some co-efficient points to improve our standing in the european game , if things dont cahange I fear for the state of scottish football !!!!!!!!!!

These are just some of my views if anyone else has any thoughts please reply and let me know what you think , thanks...........:glugglug:

i do care about the Scottish Premier League but only for the sake of our national team but its a 2 team league with the rest just there to make the old firm look good, the SPL would be better without them in it coz all the others are more evenly matched sides which would make it more interesting to watch even though they are all crap lol
but where would the old firm go to play their game??? they wouldnt cut it in the English Premier thats for sure, probably wouldnt make much of an impact in the division below either because both Rangers & Celtic are nothing near as good as they were or couldve been 10/20 years ago when they could attract quality, nowadays theyre bad teams who buy bad players no one else wants!

i am a RANGERS FAN by the way!

I was caring when Larsson was playing for Celtics and Flo was playing for Rangers. Since then, no.

I do not find English Premier League interesting after Cantona left Manchester United too.

I only watch the only football league that matters. The National Football League, NFL, which btw my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers are 6 time champs.

We kick the ball on Kickoff's, punts, field goals and extra points. So there!

Also you take away celtic and rangers and you have basicly the scottish version of the MLS.

LOL Dude! MLS is American version of it. We are talking about someting founded in 1890. MLS is way newer.

We already have a MLS version with Rangers and Celtic still here , infact I would even say the MLS has a better calibre of player than the SPL

I am well away of that I am talking about the quality of teams compared to other leagues. Also look at the post above as we Americans seem to have a better quality players.

SPL needs two or three more major teams along with Celtics and Rangers. There is almost no competition in it.

MLS will compete Bundesliga which is getting odd in a decade to be one of the top 5 soccer leagues. US Soccer team will be another world power too.

There is no competition Celtic and Rangers milk everything for themselves , also this catholic and protestant thing doesnt help 1 bit , I know people from all corners of Scotland and most of them support the old firm because of what religion they are , instead of supporting there local team and most of them have never stepped foot in Ibrox or Parkhead

You should ALWAYS support your local sports teams/clubs. I have THE worst baseball team in American and I support them cause they are from Pittsburgh. Closest football/soccer club we have is the Columbus Crew, who's team colors are black and gold as well.

Mate I just cant see this happening , I just cant see enough Americans taking to football for them to start developing it from grass roots they might end up a 10-20 team but I dont even think they will break into the top 10 and stay there for any length of time

The fact that many home grown footy player in the States are now being looked at over in Europe has something to say about the quality of or players. Also the fact the we beat Spain, defending Euro champs and made Brazil work their ass off to make a come back. once again the national team is on its way to another Gold Cup.
