Mate one of your top starlets plays for Rangers and cant even get a game , tbh there isnt an American over here in Europe I could name of the top of my head none of them play for any of the top teams in Europe plus we have plenty of players from obscure Sth American countries still doesnt make there countries perform any better only really the ones from Argentina or Brazil , throw in another couple like Forlan(Uruguay) or Pizzaro(peru} and maybe another few you would be struggling to name any after that!!
Plus the confederations cup isnt really taken serious by top European countries put that USA vs Spain in the world cup and Spain would have put 7 by yz , easy plus I would still expect Scotland to beat yz if it was in a competition and would be pretty well miffed if we didnt..........
If Spain didn't care about the Confed Cup, why was Torres out there? why were the Italians so upset after being out after the first round? why did those countries accept the invitation to play if matters not? Oh, they were scouting hotels and pools? I don't think the US is a great team, but they can be dangerous.

Because Fifa want the top players there at there tounament , its just a predesor dummy run for the real cup next year then we will see the real teams turn up , the Italians are one of the top teams in europe and they went out at the group stages which they should have walked they were embaressed bet you next year they will at least...... be in the semis .........which will still be seen as faliure !!!!!

Wrong I prefer watching the EPL to the SPL , who wouldnt???
With the shite that you get up here , for one I will be watching the EPL on Sky next year because I dont think Scottish Football is worth the money they are asking !!!!!!!
Compared to how many in England: twenty, thirteen or seven? Or as it has been these last couple of decades one of two - with a one in ten chance of it being one of three and a one in twenty chance of it being one in four. The EPL is boring.
It's quite obvious that the 'tic and Gers should be brought into the EPL. They can hang with the Big 4. They won't embarrass themselves like the newly promoted clubs do (Hello Derby. Goodbye Derby).
I think the SPL would be a better league without the big 2. The big 2 could still play in the Scottish Cup which gives the other teams a crack at them.
ESPN is going to broadcast SPL this coming season. I don't really care for either of the big 2 but I'm hoping there might be an obscure Scottish team that I like...

No I think that's a bit unfair its a league of 1 really, whoever is on form that season.
Perhaps you could go far as to say the Premier league is not that different, it has been traditionally only 3 teams who won it Arsenal, Man u & Liverpool. Chelsea has now come into the frame but realistically its only one of the top 3 that win it, which at the moment happen to be "The scum", Arsenal or Chelski.

If they go , they can go bricks and all but its not going to happen plus if they go for a young scottish player they offer the other teams a pittance for that player so how are the other teams going to strengthen then call this guy Van Der Angus and they will pay millions , Scottish football is needing a makeover from top to bottom and get rid of the old guard that run the game , the ideas are there , these people just dont want to put them into practise , instead of the old firm jumping ship they should be looking at how to make our game more competitive thus attracting bigger sponsers and generating more cash , nobody wants to watch a 2 horse race
Would a fair compromise be to give Celtic and Rangers entry into the FA Cup and see how far they go?
I would rather have them in the EPL than 2 or 3 Derby's who we will never hear from again and who belong in the Championship League (which is highly competitive in its own right).
Didn't somebody float a proposal this past year to close off the Premiership and make it a closed "NFL" type league of 30 teams? It might happen...:dunno:
