A lot of work there - but in the future, please do not alter my post. It is a common courtesy, whether one believes in God or not.

I don't, well I try really hard not to, look at porn anymore. Ya I do have my doubts. I have felt wonderful, light, happy, when avoiding porn. It is going to be a battle. It has gone to the dogs now anyway. It will become increasing violent, morally corrupt. Also, more politically correct to the point of utter boredom. It hardly ever allowed admiration of a woman's body, or entertaining sex anyway. I have wasted countless hours looking for something nice.

I do not think admiring a woman's beautiful body is wrong. If I was a preacher or something it is different as everyone is watching and judging you, waiting for you to fall so they can whip around and yell foul.

After watching Chasey suffer this morning it just reminds me why there is a better life out there.

Yes, you did.

Get over yourself...no, you don't.

And you are quoting the New Testament, the Christian only version of the bible. I give it even less credibility as the word of God than the Old Testament, and since I make my own path decisions based on what I believe, you and the writers of any archaic text are only footnotes in my personal philosophy of life, you much less so.

Typical non-porn related Philbert post:

a - start with a quick jibe to member he's quoting.
b - tell everyone how he knows better then everyone else about said topic
c - end post with larger insult to member he's quoting
(though sometimes a and c get switched)

I have no problem with 'b' (I certainly do it myself). But I really don't see why 'a' and 'c' always need to be included.

As for me?
No, I don't believe in 'God'.
But I assume there is some form of superior being somewhere...I hope.

Yes, you did.

No, I didn't. Show me where I said that I spoke for anyone else, besides myself...

Get over yourself...no, you don't.

Ok, know-it-all...if I don't understand it, then explain it to me. Explain to me what I don't understand. I'm sure your response will be something along the lines of "I don't have to so such a thing" or "I don't want to waste my time", but maybe you'll surprise me...

Most religions are based on archaic text, so...:dunno:

Oh, and I'm pretty sure I nailed your "personal philosophy" right on the head when I said...

Agree with me or you're wrong and you don't matter.

...religion at it's finest.

I just can't believe the senators we elect actually believe in a talking snake. That worries me, that we have people like that running our country. That is why we are in the mess we are in the middle east. Because W. was told by a higher father to invade Iraq.

Q. Do you believe in God?

A. Yes most of the time but I do not believe in any sort of organized religion.

I find it hard to believe that some magical being made all of this, and just left never to communicate with us again, but expects us to worship him. Whatever, this is the biggest line of bullshit ive ever heard.

A baby's cry?

I edited my post, but took too long, so this part got left out. I do believe there is a spiritual reality. Thing is, both sides have to allow man free will. Neither one can come across too strong. Can you please try to understand this.

Man has made some humongous mistakes re religion. Again, free will. When we listen, is when we learn. There is doubt through lack of knowledge.

These guys in the building opposite are doing a valiant job putting in windows during construction next door, in this weather.

Anyway...there is a lot of misconception about serving God. Religion is Man trying to reach God. Salvation is God trying to reach us. It has to be through faith. Now here's the thing. Religion, serving God, going to Church, every facet, everything, the whole kit and caboodle, is all about family. This is why I think there is so much hardship and misunderstanding. We still think Church is about bells and smells, sitting down, standing up, turning this way, turning that way etc.

Serving God is about family. If you can see that, you are well on your way to understanding what it is all about.

Familia. Family. Capische?

YES!!! Sure there's a God, you think all this stuff just happened? If evolution were true then why haven't we seen any more evidence of it?

To put it into simplistic terms, it takes millions of years.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Evolution_pl.png

Take a look at that image, its a picture of the anatomy of an extremity of several animals with a few being different species all together. Look at the similarites of the bones in each, the monkey, the bat, the dolphin all have a similar bone structure of 5 digits. Now isnt this a sign of the fact that were all decended from a similar being, and as we have evolved throughout history into different species weve kept these 5 digits but have evolved to use them that will allow the species to continue. The dolphins and the bats have elongated and have been bound by wings or a fin for ease in moving through the water or mastering flight and us as mammals have evolved singular digits that allow us to movie with ease on the land and for climbing.

Now this is just one piece of evidence, if you do some research on your own you'll find hundreds of others.

If you want some more proof I'll direct you to the human genome project, some info:
http://www.ornl.gov/sci/techresources/Human_Genome/home.shtml

What they found after they had mapped the human genome is that our DNA with the exception of a couple of base pairs is no different than any other species on this planet, and in that there seems to be no doubt that you could say that we are all decendance of one single being and throughout the millions of years of evolution that has happend on this planet we have all evolved from that single being to all of the species today.

Some people can say that God and evolution could go hand in hand, but to tell you the truth, the God of the bible which is the word of god lets not forget does not seem smart enough to pull this off.

I believe there was a man named Jesus Christ at some point in the span of human history, but I don't believe he is a son of some magical being known as God. I don't believe this Mr. Christ to be a savior or anything of the sort either, he was just a man who happened to start a large following of people who couldn't form their own beliefs. I live by one set of rules in life, and that is my own.

Makes sense to me.
