Honestly, I don't think age has anything to do with it. I'm 21 now but I lost my virginity when I was 15 years old. I don't think there was anything wrong with that. In fact, it only made my self-esteem go way up. It strengthened my love and appreciation for my girlfriend.

I honestly wouldn't mind if the legal age for doing porn was lowered to 16. 16 is not a bad age at all. People can be mature enough to handle sexual lifestyles at that age.

Remember folks, age is an invention of the human mind. Love is love, sex is sex. Maturity can be achieved at any age.

If the porn industry brings money, I would certainly classify it as an appropriate lifestyle and real job. Being a pornstar would potentially bring you more money than going to college to be an engineer or whatever else.

Who said we're discussing ***** pornography? We're discussing lowering legal age. That's a political/legal discussion. When the administrators wrote the rules, they meant ***** porn itself is not to be discussed and distributed on these boards. Anything that doesn't break the law is allowed. Now, since when was discussing legal age issues against the law?

About that whole constitution thing, since when did the US control the entire porn industry? Is the US trying to make laws for everyone in the world?

Not to mention, many countries consider a person a legal adult at the age of 16. In fact, I believe a few states in America even view 16 year olds as adults. I find it quite ironic that 16 year olds can get charged as adults in crime issues, yet they can't do other things such as ***** *******, etc.

The legal system gives judges the authority to try minors as adults, it's not a automatic. It's bullshit in lots of cases but *****-porn laws can't be loosely interpreted in the legal system. It's ******* and there's no way to beat it in court.

I don't think people are getting more addicted to porn. I think people have always liked porn and are now just able to have more access to it. Does anybody ever consider that this is really closer to what's normal behavior than what it was like in the past where there was an artificial restriction placed by society?

Yeah, but let's say that the porn was not in major mainstream industry until the end of the 20th century. Before there was exhibitionism, then erocy, then something that we don't even consider as "exciting" today. But there was a damn good reason why all this stuff had been censured for centuries. And it always will be, until people would grow emotionally stable to at least any kind of nudity. And when they will, you'd be amazed how many free porn would there be in any corner of the world.
But let's leave utopias to fantasies and concentrate more on getting more ******* gold stuff out of this beautiful **** mwahahaha

More on topic, I think, as mentioned, that moderation is the key. It all depends on if porn is influencing the way you run your life. Personally, my porn viewing has gone way down since I joined the Freeones board since I spend so much time talking and posting on here. I love porn because I love to celebrate the beauty of women. That's why I spend most of my porn time collecting pictures of women posing, nude and non-nude. When it comes time to jack off, I have videos for that purpose. It's almost like two separate things for me. But I don't let either dominate my life. If I'm addicted to anything, it would be the Freeones board, not porn per se.

Well, I appreciate the sentiments, I like to be as open and honest as possible. As far as on topic/off topic, I've been guilty many a time of taking things off topic, but it's always either for making a joke, or being led there by a previous thread. That guy just started talking about making 16 year olds legal for porn when no one even came close to mentioning that. Going off topic with a VERY controversial (borderline bannable) subject was just not a good call.

I am revisiting the discussion I'd started. Good to see people so many people agree in their own little ways with the essence of what I wanted to propose. None of us who have been following porn sites agree with it any more than we do ***** and ********. There are a few who justify porn, but most often these are people who are new to it and see it unidimensionally - a jack off experience. Some others say porn is not all that bad, but ***** porn is a no-no. Yet another group wants moderation.

Lets break outselves into the following groups:

1. Those (like me) who remember the pre-Internet age well, when porn was around but not half as freely. It was only for the connoisseur --if I may use that term. Back then, we all knew there was a porn empire, but it never solicited customers. Porn was something of a forbidden fruit, but the Internet made it quasi legitimate. Now, 13 years later, some of us are wondering what's wrong with us.

2. Those who have hazy memories of the pre-Internet age and even less of the porn that flourished then -- some people call it the "golden age of porn". These guys were won over by the empire (noble or evil according to perception) without much resistance. They perhaps saw porn as a natural thing at first. They perhaps made little niches in their minds for porn and never quite allowed it to subsume the rest of their minds.

3. The Internet generation. These guys were born in the latter half of the 1980s. To them, porn is as much a part of the Internet as Wikipedia. This group has had its sexual responses conditioned by porn.

Several questions trouble me: If porn was so non-objectionable, why are some pre-Internet age variables still constant? For example.

a) Pornstars are still not accepted in respectable cinema
b)The mainstreaming of porn is still a mirage
c) The morality of the porn flick, all the values (whatever!) they uphold, are still continued as farmyard -- even the most arden porn lover wouldn't accept it
d) The market is still small in comparison to mainstream cinema

A lot us, like myself, don't enjoy porn anymore. We have come to regard our endless attraction for porn as some kind of behavorial disorder. I myself feel I'm having an out-of-body experience every time I watch porn. Its as if I am critically viewing myself ogle at a porn site.

I think I need help. And I am sure there are people out there who need likewise. Let's keep this thread alive so we can talk. Now, Freeones is serving an altogether different purpose for me.

I have done a google on "help for porn addicts" and did not find even one credible site. Only the usual Jesus stuff, which said that an unmarried porn lover actually committs adultery in advance.
I hope friends here will keep this thread alive because we have to stop and think where all this is headed. Imagine the recklessness of the pliers of the trade. Condom use is not made compulsory and a spurious consensus is attempted to be established over the goodness of "tests". Even a five-year-old knows that HIV antibodies don't reveal themselves in tests before a gestation period is out.
I am slowly veering to the idea that porn is an evil empire and we are its victims.

Yeah, you may be surprised to hear this that yeah, even an elective user of smokes and drinks are victims.They are wrapped up at an impressionable age and trapped for life. In the case of smokes and *****, its clinical because nicotine and ******* are powerful *****. So it was easy to prove in law courts that the smoke and ***** companies were guilty. However, there is no legal precedent on porn.
