I don't know about the rest of the liberals on here, but as I'm watching coverage of the DNC I find myself getting excited. I'm going to vote for Obama but I'm not as enthusiastic as I was back in 2008. Maybe this convention will rile me up a bit

I'm really looking forward to Julian Castro's speech. Former Bush adviser Mark McKinnon has been quoted as saying that Castro "has a very good chance of becoming the first Hispanic president of the United States." As a Latino, I hope that I will live to see this come true

Just to clarify. WE THE PEOPLE don't belong to the government. The government belongs to us, and only a Sith..... I mean, liberal would believe otherwise. Clint was right when he said that politicians are our employees and they'll come around every few years to beg for votes. And if they don't do a good job is okay to let them go.

Actually, why should I be scared? Are Obama followers going to hunt down everyone who voted against him? I thought they were tolerant persons. I mean, I did listen to it, and relistened to it, and wanted to make sure I did hear right, I mean, what did YOU hear? I did hear "the government is the only thing we ALL belong to". Is that what the guy said? How else can you interpret that phrase? It's not even taken out of context. I mean, the video is shortened for time constraints, to focus on the eyebrow raising quote, but it's still says what was said before and after. Plus, how did attendees to the DNC interpret that phrase? Let's see.

I'm sorry, English is my second language but these people seem to be native English speakers so maybe they also have poor comprehension skills.

I didn't say that you heard it wrong, I said that you have poor comprehension skills. Your interpretation of the words is incorrect. I'm not surprised, you tend to favor republicans, getting shit wrong is part and parcel.

Overall I haven't been impressed with ANY of the speeches given at the DNC. Every speech I have heard ridicules what was said at the GOP convention. I know most people on here are die-hard Democrats/Socialists, but c'mon, can't the Democrats think independently and come up with bona fide solutions to the problems they caused? So far all they are doing is making fun of other people and that's supposed to get someone's vote? If Bill Clinton is such a great orator, why did he have to ridicule Mitt Romney? Why couldn't he have come up with something original about how we should go about solving these crises' and bettering the country? Michelle O's speech was a boiled-down rehash of her husband's speeches. Nothing new. Sickening how she speaks of the American Dream when both her and her husband have openly said how much they hate America.
