Oki, got your pens and papers? Right, here's what's going to happen.
About 57 million people will be unemployed. This means that, due to - I am just spelling it out here - the lack of income, the lack of fluid assets, just general lack of anything, without the buying power of millions of people worldwide, products will not be bought. This, of course, leads to further collapse, which means further unemployment. This cycle will continue.
As government no longer has money in credit like it used to, it can no longer pay for welfare, medical, even road repairs.
Without millions of people able to access medical care, they will die. The reason for that will not so much be that there isn't money to pay for medical needs, but that there is no cure or money left to pay for research into cures for disease. People will transmit viruses and other contagious diseases to each other unchecked, seeing as they cannot afford treatment.
Of course, the money that governments worldwide will have will in any case be worthless, as it already is, as not only do world governments all owe each other fantastic sums, despite the fact there are thousands of ridiculously rich people, but, with money off the gold standard, lets face it, what is the money worth? Really?
Even with money backed by gold, it still isn't really worth much as not every single person on the planet can actually do anything much with a lump of gold.
This will be made worse by the fact that, even though ocean levels will have risen 'higher than predicted', there will be an acute shortage of drinking water. In Africa, billions will die of hunger, thirst and disease. Already a large part of the United States is desert. It will only get worse.
Mentioning water. The oceans will rise. It is likely The Netherlands, Greenland, The U.K., much of the North American coast and even parts of South America will be submerged underwater.
There is an earthquake prone rift running down the East of Africa. When this finally digs in, the African coast will be realigned. There might be a breakaway of Somalia to a new island. This could happen anytime.
The famous San Andreas fault is long overdue for rupturing. If this happens due to gravitational pull of aligned planets, this will further cripple the North American economy. It might also set off the Great Rift Valley fault. This will cripple world economy even further.
The oceans are warming up. This means that the once rich supply of food, not only to humans but also to fish, will be seriously endangered. This will place a greater burden on nations to provide food for other nations who in any case cannot afford to pay for even a loaf of bread in the first place.
Man's ignorance and almost complete lack of caring will continue. Bored to tears, people will turn to even darker, more immoral pursuit of pleasure than was previously known or tolerated. Or not.
People everywhere will cry out for leadership. Governments tried their utmost to meet demands, in some cases. Constant compensation for the madmen leads to exhaustion of resources, both mental and physical.
This is where it starts to get interesting.
According to Mayan prophesy, the 2012 refers to a change in leadership. It is the time when things change. Each moment marked thus in their calendar marks the ending of one lifestyle, but the beginning of another, unwelcome one. For instance, the last time they marked an enormous change, the Spanish Conquistadors arrived.
This would seem to suggest, that on a global scale, with everything in chaos and disrepair, a leader would emerge. He will then take the reins and 'miraculously' solve all the problems facing mankind.
This has never come without a price, though. It is in the paying of this price that the real fun and games in people's - the survivors - lives will come. People will all be ready for one person to take over the world, to lead them to 'freedom', prosperity', a new beginning. By that time all faith in established religions will be all but gone.
And so the New World Order will be complete.
