I have a very good friend with whom I will never discuss politics. I love this guy like a *******. He and I are as different politically as it is possible to be. I think this guy and Sam would probably get on famously. However, he's very important to me, and I have the utmost respect for how he lives his life, and the kind of person he is. It's way more important to me to continue to have him involved in my life than it is for us to have conversations about politics. We are simply never going to be on the same page, and we're both passionate about our beliefs. We don't discuss politics. We still manage to have a full and rich friendship.
