I take issue with the breaking up of this party.
For the same reasons I believe metal toys should still exist, poison berry bushes should not have been culled from our native soil, and any-and-all laws that are in place to prevent personal harm.

A few observations:
It was mostly females. I'm guessing it was a childrens birthday party.
I don't know where all those people were before the police showed up.
Sure was a lot of people out there. Either it was a huge party or many others who weren't at the party came around.
I'm surprised the po po wasn't wearing gloves and masks.
The cop on the nearly useless bullhorn instead of reading off numbers of penal codes should have been trying to talk sense to them. Like "There is a highly contagious epidemic and by gathering like this you are putting your childrens lives at risk". And preferably a Black cop telling them.
A Black cop with a better bullhorn would have helped greatly.

I don't disagree with the concept of culling the herd, but the problem with that is, those idiots aren't necessarily the ones who'd be culled. They'll spread the disease like a bunch of Typhoid Marys and kill off worthwhile citizens.
Even though the colleges and universities in my area (across the state) are closed, some undergrad students can't go home (overseas based, specifically), so they have to stay in the dorms, and then there are grad students who live in off-campus apartments. There were two news stories over the weekend about some local college students having cookouts and parties. Neighbors called the police and these snowflake dumbasses got "dealt with". Right now, we only have a small number of confirmed cases. But two of the Covid-19 cases are students from the same two universities where the party kids were violating social distancing mandates this weekend - one kid hid her symptoms and who knows how many people she's infected?! Being educated does not mean that one is smart.

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WNEP/CNN) - A 35-year-old Pennsylvania woman is facing multiple charges after police said she purposely coughed on food at a grocery store.
Employees had to sanitize everything and throw away thousands of dollars worth of food.
“Your bail is $50,000 straight. This is a copy of your criminal complaint, arrest warrant affidavit,” District Judge Joseph Halesey told Margaret Cirko, inside a police vehicle.
Police said Cirko went into Gerrity’s Supermarket on Wednesday afternoon and deliberately and violently coughed and spit on food throughout the store before trying to steal a case of beer.
Employees of the store attempted to stop her while she continued to cough and spit on produce and meat, but she kept yelling, “I have the virus. You’re all going to get sick.”
Gerrity’s posted photos on Facebook of just some of the more than $35,000 loss, including organic produce, bakery items and meats as well as employees sanitizing the shelves afterwards.
Authorities said they don’t believe Cirko actually has COVID-19. She was tested anyway and also underwent a mental evaluation.

A week ago there were no reports of infected people in my area. Now all of a sudden there are over 1000 confirmed infected in a population of about 250,000. I haven't gone out in 4 days, I'll wait another 2 weeks to make sure I'm not infected, then maybe I'll go out.
That's the protocol for the next few months, if I go out I'll stay at home for at least 2 weeks before going out again.
Drink lots of warm tea or coffee, and get some fresh air thru an open window a few times per day.
We haven't seen the worst of it yet.
