The Second-Hottest Man in my ******'s Basement
Plasma, it has been wonderful reading your well thought out rebuttals sir, I still have a strong belief that the government is supposed to be "by the people, for the people" and that the PEOPLE should be in the lead position of their own lives. Protect **** from stupid parents..yes, protect others from criminals and stupid people....yes, protect us from ourselves....there are just too many stupid people to make everything *******. I've decided to put myself in control of this little guys life because I know much better than him what is good for him, he is nothing but grateful! I stuffed him in my pussy later, he really appreciateed that :)

It really all comes down to the differences in how we define "by the people, for the people." Obviously you believe your views are the way to go while I believe that what I was arguing is no less "by the people" than what your opinions. The state governs the highways and puts rules on their use for safety, including people's safety, and as bob pointed out (and I tried to, but I guess it got lost in translation between my years-old recollection of political theory and my fingers) the state is the people, so I'd say it is still "by the people." Nevertheless, I hope I didn't come off as too big of an asshole.

I don't think anyone disputed that in here, but i could be wrong, I think the idea of the thread was if the government has a right to ***** us to protect ourselves, and overall most felt it wasn't an intrusion.

all I could think as I was reading your socialist agenda tirades is "what a BIG ASSHOLE!" LOL No not at all you big lug! I never let a discussion get me upset, and I ALWAYS, even if I don't agree, believe that when someone is passionate about something they truly believe it is for the best for others. That's why I don't automatically feel disdain for seemingly intolerant religous folks, of any religion, or the overbearing PTA moms, or the pro/anti side of just about any issue :)

It's just you.

She just gives me the raging horn. :D

i said, not sure, not because i am a lame ass who doesnt own a vehicle, but because i am a lame ass who rides the bus

I'm all for it. Honestly, why should the government not be able to regulate the rules of the roads that they (using our money) build and police? You have to have insurance to drive a car. You have to have a license to drive a car. You have to have a license plate, and up to date tags, to drive a car. You have to wear a seat belt to drive a car.

Okay.

Now, if we could just get the knuckleheads to insist that all motorcycle drivers must wear a helmet in every state, it would be a real win.
I agree with You lurkingdirk

I will once again reiterate. I don't have a problem with the seat belt law thingy, I just choose to wear mine a different way. I choose to wear it - under my arm, like I stated - because I don't want to be a cripple.

It just makes me mad up to my head how the cops can fuck with me at any moment now because I wear it that way. And there are cops everywhere here on the East Side, trust me. Power hungry mufuckas. :dropdead:

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Got in a wreck today. 16 year old girl pulled out in front of me, and "failed to yield" on a left hand turn. I hammered the brakes, hit the right front corner of her Pontiac Vibe, went over the bars, slammed into her windshield....destroyed it...put a HUGE dent in her roof, from my boots. Rolled off her car, and shook it off, luckily, then started yelling at her. I have a lemon size knot on my noggin. The bike is fucked...new front end, plus God knows what else, but I',m thankful, I could be dead. One of those situations...I wasn't wearing a helmet, and I have a nice scrape on my head....if I was wearing a lid, I might have mot gotten it..........OR...I might have gone through the windshield, and sliced open my jugular, and ***** out right there.
