I was watching Unwrapped on The Cooking Channel just now and they advertised a new show that premiers this week called Cheap Eats. The premise is that this guy named Ali has 12 hours and only $35 for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So, that's a break down of around $11.50 per meal. Does that rub anyone else the wrong way? I'm no cheap skate, but almost $12 to pick up sustenance isn't exactly cheap to me. I mean no, it's not fucking Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, but picking some tacos up off the taco truck won't set you back more than $10, and thassa lotta tah-cos, essay. What's it say about society when $12/meal is considered "cheap"?
