Lets just try and get the sig size altered for now! I'm not as worried about avy's as I spend much less time on those! I'm content with their size as it is!

I was always under the impression that the sig limits were designed to make the board more user friendly for those on dial up. Large sigs make the pages load a lot slower, especially on dial up.
Personally, I like the sig limits. Also, I'd hate to see the mods given more "work" :eyeso:

I thought the exact same thing. Here in the UK dail up is only a pound cheaper than the cheapest broadband service. Plus everyone I know is on broadband

. Sigs yes the height made bigger like I said before would be great. But the avatars are hosted by the board and are perfect the way they are both size and bandwidth. If we increase them, we might have to lose something else :eek:

Well actually there is an option of linking to an avy from a host as well.
But yes no real reason to futz with it!

I don't really know about that. I don't really know how old the various parts of my computer are.
I just rarely experience such problems, but perhaps the other forums I go to, just don't have members with sigs of such a size. Could it have anything to do with where people upload their sigs? :dunno:

there is a wrestling forum i seldom go to. the sigs there are pretty big. if you were to take the three posts above me, that is the size of people's sigs there. they make the threads look like an ad page in the sunday paper. the pages look terrible. if more dimensions are added to the height, not too much more. :2 cents:
Agreed. Too tall sigs make pages look horrible. A problem is also that people are somewhat free to add text to their sig, either above or below a picture. In fact, some members total signature height is the double of what's currently allowed. If we are eventually allowed to have taller sigs, I hope this issue with also be looked at. Not that I'm against a line or two of text(I use it myself), but it could easily become too much.
