It said in the article that he was a big part of how live sound at rock shows was done. I wonder if he's the guy that invented putting up a wall of fake Marshall amp cabinets, so the diehards think their favorite metal guitarist is using 20 amps, when in reality he's only using a couple, and usually one at a time on top of it.

This totally sucks. Louis Gossett Jr. has died. He was a great actor, and hollywood lost a great talent. The only saving grace is, he lived a long life. I hope he's resting peacefully.

He's not an actor, or a celebrity, but he certainly is a hero. Lou Conter, the last remaining crew member from the USS Arizona has passed away at the age of 102. Rest in peace sir, you have earned it, and much more.

I'm fucking crushed, This is such a depressing thing to see. One of the most amazing guitar players in southern rock, blues, and just music in general has passed on. Sadly to cancer and copd, May he Rest In Peace in eternity, and I hope he and is fellow gunslinger, Duane is right there with him, I've said it before, the two single greatest players of harmony leads, Dicky Betts, and Duane Allman, together again. I had a great time, playing air guitar to there music.

Along with the three other members in that band. Their vocalist/keyboardist, their bassist and their first drummer. Gregg Allman, Berry Oakley and Butch Trucks have also also passed away. The only original member still alive is Jai Johanny Johanson, their second drummer.

Dickey Betts had a close call a few years ago, when he fell in his yard, and hit his head. They weren't sure where he stood for a while, and weren't sure if he would be able to play any longer. This is my favorite Allman Bros. song, "Hotlanta", a great example of harmony, and dueling leads, and a great showcase for the other talent in that band, which was overwhelming. Not a bum in the bunch, although Gregg turned out to be a snitch, but that's in the past.

Another classic is lost. Mike Pinder the keyboard player, and the last remaining founding member of "The Moody Blues", has passed on peacefully, surrounded by family at the age of 82. Unfortunately for me, I have never had the chance to see them live. I liked a lot of their music, but I just feel like they were one of those bands you needed to see live. May he rest in peace, and find a place to jam, in that great gig in the sky.
