John McCain and Sarah Palin sharpened their attack yesterday on Barack Obama's readiness to be commander-in-chief, using his running mate's prediction that Obama would be tested by an international crisis early in his presidency.

McCain noted that Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden had compared Obama to John F. Kennedy, who presided over the failed Bay of Pigs invasion, then the Cuban missile crisis early in his term.

If Palin would have said something like that it would be all over the media outlets. But no they are worry about her traveling expenses.

If I had any balls, I'd vote for Bob Barr. I see an inevitable split coming in the Republican party between the Evangifundies and those who are effectively Libertarian, so there's a part of me that would like to throw my support behind the Libertarians now. But I know I'll chicken out anyway and vote for the lesser of the two evils.
