Automotive things going-on

Someone knitted a car cozy.

I was looking back through the pages, and I could swear I posted something about this car going to auction, but I couldn't find it.

Well it went, and sold for over 3 million. one of the most expensive Corvette's ever sold at a public auction.

Here are some MORE auction results. a 2019 Ford GT at $1,320,000?!

Some of these prices are just way out of line. Even if I was a billionaire, I don't know if I could justify a million bucks for something I can't fully enjoy. It's like buying a $1k bottle of Bourbon and having to just set it on my bar, and look at it. I would rather have a 2,000sq. ft. house, on 50 acres mostly wooded, then 25.000 sq. ft., on a 2 acre lot.

Point is, I would go out and by 4 or 5 Road Runners, and drive them to the ground, one after the other, before buying on Ferrari, I can look at.

I know the later 70 and 71 models were stuffed full of gigantic engines (454 ci), that produced more ***** power then credited with. They said 455 *****, but more like 500 or more, and they are good looking cars. In fact, the only car I can think of, I like in red. But for me, I prefer the older coupe style, like 64 or 66. They didn't get the 455's like the fast back versions did, but to me, they just looked better. The odd thing is, I really love the fast back Mustangs. I think they look far better then the coupe's. Now as far as GTO's and 442's, both versions are really good looking cars. It's kind of odd to me, how just a simple model year body change, or a specific color can make or break a persons opinion of a car.

A buddy of mine just bought a new Kia Sportage. We somehow got on this topic over this past weekend. I don't think this has been posted "yet." Don't know if other peeps are aware of this. There is a YT video out there, on how to steal them (and Hyundais):

I like this one. That's a bad ass looking truck,

I like it, I think it looks good with those rims, and I dig the tinted windows. I'm not sure how original it is, but I like it.

Eh; I'm not a fan of those wheels. Also, they look like they BARELY clear the trailing edge of the rear wheel wells. No engine data? Also, "Ford" drum rear brakes?? Here's the spec sheet:

I agree. For 10 million dollars, that car better cook me 3 squares a day, clean my house, and blow at bed time. And even then, I wouldn't pay it.

In Ohio we have a couple of highways that have signs posted telling drivers to stay to the right, and that the left is for passing, but no one cares, and they do as they wish, not caring who they fuck over. Of course most drives don't care who they fuck over, and most of them think they're to important to wait their turn to merge in construction zones.

Ohhhh - how I *wish* my State would pass a comparable law: no left lane cruising!!

From a legal point of view, it is interesting to see how you would be considered "camping" in the left lane if you're going at the speed limit. You could be fined for going over the "speed limit", but also be fined because you weren't going over the speed limit in the left lane. Don't get me wrong, it's frustrating to be stuck behind a clueless idiot in the left lane who can't take hint when I'm an inch away from their bumper, but the legal aspect is a little fuzzy.

Do you ever brake checked someone like that?
Never. I drove a semi for 33 years. I was VERY polite while I drove them, because it's far from a car, and when I drove a car, I knew what a truck driver went through. I only went left to pass, or because of an exit. I've been break checked, and I don't like it. I've had people break check me, or ride my ass when I was on a bike. There are a GREAT DEAL of people that should be very thankful, I don't decide who gets a license.

If I was in the left lane, there's no excuse - I'll move over. Common sense.
But I'm not going to lie, I've brake checked people (just enough to turn the light on, but not actually hard brake) when I'm in the right lane and there's no reason to be riding my ass. I think it's a polite way of saying "back off or go around me". In fact, I recall my driving school instructor actually telling me that.
