I really thought the data would be much higher due to the fact that we are dealing with very promiscuous people and most porn stars, if not all, escort to earn more $$$. That's why they should keep blacklisting male performers who want to work in straight, tranny and even gay porn. It's a lot easier for a man to give a woman HIV than a woman to give a man HIV. If these male stars are moving through genres and engaging in unprotected sex with female stars, it's asking for trouble.

You're right about that. I also should add that I'm astounded that male porn actor ChristianXXX is not infected with HIV considering that he literally fucks everything both males, females and those in between. He's notorious for performing in a lot of tranny porn.

Kurt Lockwood started down that path too. I'm not sure what started what. Was his bad behavior the reason why he was blacklisted from straight porn, or was his foray into tranny porn the reason why he was blacklisted?

Funny thing is, that you'll probably get a lot of people, probably even a few stars defending all of this, maybe because they feel it's an attack on their legitimacy.

I don't doubt that images are stolen, but we've seen other star posters saying yes most do escort. I couldn't rationalize going into porn without escorting on the side, unless you're in that top 10% or so who can make it a career on dancing and website alone. What's the average careerspan? 18 months? And then you have the rest of your life to worry about. A lot of these folks are going to escort on the side out of necessity.

I'm surprised the cases are that low. To me it's a testament to the safety precautions the industry requires it's performers to adhere to.

And frankly it seems like if you follow their safety precautions and and live reasonably responsible (not going to Brazil and fucking everything with a strand of human dna) in your private life...you should be fairly ok.

It makes sense since they should be protecting their livelihoods along with their personal health. But just like the one or two idiots who drive for a living who roll the dice by drinking and driving. Some behavior can only be attributed to plain old irresponsibility. It depends. Some pornstars retire and just do their websites. I have been in the adult industry for years. I just choose to not shoot xxx video's. It was something I would never be comfortable with doing. I have noticed that women with websites usually last a long time if they want to stick around. The pornstars that I have seen escort are usually no longer at the top of their game or they are retired. How long you last in xxx depends on the performers. A lot of them have been around a lot longer than 18 months.

I agree with you Jane, what I should of clarified with my post is that most of your top tier porn stars both male and female do escort and you can easily book them from various sources. I understand that J Jameson at one point used to escort and she commanded high $$$. The basic principles of supply and demand also apply to the sex game. Well known porn stars such as Krystal Steal or Amy Reid charge substantial amounts of $$$ for services rendered.

The current HIV testing uses ELISA/Western blot tests to look for antibodies to HIV viral proteins, in many cases p24 capsid protein , gp41, gp120 protein particles.

These tests are often falsely negative in the first 2-3 months of the HIV infection due to different immune status of the porn stars (if you are healthy and take care yourself, it may not show up much later, may be 6-12 months later).

So it is just too early to know how many are infected, but "ALL" are infected with STD.


Also babies born to infected mother may be falsely tested positive with anti-gp120 antibiodies which cross the placenta. So it is very tricky to know who is infected in the early stage !

Gotta agree with this, although I'm not that surprised. Being promiscuous and being "exposed" to std's comes with their jobs, so the precautions have to be quite high, and they obviously are. I mean, you don't hear of dozens of US soldiers being killed in Iraq every day, even though they are in an environment that could allow so. And why not? Because they are prepared, took precautions and try to maintain control over the situation. Same with any job that could endanger your health or even your life.
