AOC represents the Bronx - which is approximately 1,800 miles away from my home. They can elect whoever they want. Just as my district regularly elects a Republican by a large majority. As you know, it's the intent of the House to be reflective of its citizens. She is only 1 of 435 people - 0.2% of the legislative body.

What was it like to be served drinks by her? Could she resist bringing up politics to customers? How flirtatious would she get for tips? How was she to work with? I knew a lot of folks form my generation a lot like her. As I have mentioned, we were all gonna change the world into Eden. Most got married, or stared businesses or got a job. Became just like the rest. She will too. She is young and idealistic and in the spotlight. And likes it. She will fade out of view or change or? and someone else will come along. I don't get too excited about folks like her.

I'd also like to hear her stories about bad or insane customers. Also, in what ways did guys try to fuck her? When you work in that environment long enough you see stuff so crazy that you have to water down your stories when you tell someone so they don't think you're full of shit.

One could argue that the excitement isn't so much about the individual herself, nobody is expecting her to singe handedly usher in a new age of enlightenment. But the prospect of having more like her gives many democrat voters hope for the future of the party. It wasn't quite time this time around, as evidenced by their presidential nominee, but maybe next time there'll be a couple more AOCs in the mix that can steer things in a better direction.
