It took like freaking 3 hours, but finally got Diabolos 3*!
My friend was an Physical evade tank w/death protection.
For my run I also needed: 2 DPS, healer, Mag Tank & Buffer/Mp battery. Some ppl are saying you can get away without the last one, but I can't do it.
You need a physical & Mag tank, and a healer to re-raise the latter for sure. Ideally the physical can provoke & has death immunity, so then no one else in your party need immunity (even the mag tank).
Not going to lie though, this wasn't easy. I had to use all 5 phoenix downs because the tank got killed even after a re-raise, and I needed an alive mag tank to be able to cast re-raise on him again. It was really 50/50 at the buzzer, and I was so happy I got it which is why I saves the pics.
If you're going for it, watch out for 2 things (which happen at the lower HP thresholds):
1) He has an ANNOYING physical damage barrier that can't be dispelled. I was using OK as my DPS so that was deadly, and I had to wait it out. Problem is that he recasts it after a couple turns, so you only have about a turn or 2 do deal any damage. Which wouldn't be too bad, except for...
2) He has a AOE dispel which he then chains with his regular dark damage attacks. Which means reraise or AOE blocks get nullified, which could easily lead to a wipe. I was lucky that the turns it happened I was able to keep Ayaka, or have someone left to revive her. Apparently it's RNG on whether he uses it, but combined with the physical barrier which eats up turns, it can happen a lot.
It was a really razor thin win and I don't know if I could duplicate it, so I'm not bothering with those other 2 missions.
Eqp-wise, not too bad I guess. I got 23% atk for my Excalibur and Fixed dice (everyone says to do this), so that's good. But my Onion Swords are stuck at 5% atk! Grrr...
