What is America's obsession with attaching the suffix "-gate" to anything controversial?

In short, Weiner is a prick, no pun intended. He's a back-bencher poli-chicken from New York who makes himself feel important by being loud, obnoxious, condescending and combative to anyone who interviews him or disagrees with him. He's a liberal Rush Limbaugh minus the radio gig.
Weiner is one piece of trash that has long needed taking to the dumpster. The media types he's been an asshole to for years are going to ass-fuck him in the arena of public opinion :nannerf1: And it will be a pleasure to watch. I like to watch![]()
Fail! :ban2:
Weiner has always been an arrogant, self serving fuck. These guys think they are gods and ultimately do something stupid in public when they cross the line. He will go down a squealing pig.
So he should have been a Republican?![]()
Oh, probably. But I think these sex scandals are pretty much SOP for men in Congress and the White House. Dirt bags, all of them. :ban2:
But the difference here is... if Weiner was a Republican he would've been tarred, feathered, put in a gimp suit and ****** to resign already (see: Chris Lee ... minus the gimp suit of course). But Democrats seem to have things a little better. Look at JFK? Look at Ted Kennedy, he ****** someone for Pete's sake. Look at Bill Clinton. He got blown -- IN THE OVAL OFFICE, no less -- shot his load all over Monica Lewinsky, lied about it during a sworn deposition in the Paula Jones sexual harassment case, and everyone thinks he's a swell guy. He committed PERJURY! We all would've done jail time for less.
So, in the end, I'm guessing Weiner will be OK once all this mess is over. I bet he'll even get an anchor spot on CNN. Eliot Spitzer anyone? :dunno:![]()

Re: Anthony Weiner's Wienergate
I could maybe see a single, middle aged bookstore clerk doing something like this.... but a recently married standing congress critter?
... inexcusable!

Old 'Wide Stance Larry Craig' didn't leave office. The Republicans seem to get caught with men and they are always preaching about how moral and better they are than the Left.Oh, probably. But I think these sex scandals are pretty much SOP for men in Congress and the White House.
