Ted Cruz posted a tribute to Nelson Mandela on his facebook page yesterday. Then came the comments from his people. Calling Mandela a terrorist and saying how sorry they were to see Cruz feel this way. Read it. It's all that is needed to prove that a large portion of the like minded tea party people are racists without shame denial or regret. Here is one for you tea bagging people to deny: "you're joking, aren't you Mr. Cruz? how about we light up a South African necklace in his honor? wow you stepped in it this time" I believe a south african necklace is when they hang them from a tree. I am not a Cruz supporter by any means. On the contrary, the man is anathema to me. However, in his defense, he has no control over what those who allegedly support him have to say about any given matter on the internet so I really don't see what all the fuss is about. One has to realize that the type of individual that is drawn to to a political figure like Cruz is, in many instances, one who is motivated by fear, ignorance and staunch resistance to change so remarks like the ones in the link are not surprising in the least.
