Americans wouldn't have to pay taxes if....

So you travel to countries with far less population and diversity and deem that their systems work better?

I don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for such a simple minded assessment especially when the opinion formed is based upon casual observances through traveling to a country and that your worst experience was probably with a cabbie that made a wrong turn.

I know a lot more about religion than you think I do. Its all man made. Its all bullshit and its all about money and control. no matter if you believe we come from another planet or that noah put 2 of every species of animal on a boat and repopulated the earth LMAO! or that water was walked on and water turned to wine, its all make believe. ALL OF IT. You cant prove it fucking happened but common sense says it didn't. scientology and mormonism and catholicism are all equally hokey and equally as absurd as baptists who say dancing is against the lords wishes and christians and muslims who BOTH say that women who commit adultery should be stoned to death in a public square. its all the same shit.

No mainstream religion practices or condones stoning. Certainly not Presbyterians, Baptists,Catholics etc,,nor do those of the Jewish faith There are whackjobs in every faction of religion, and those that practice bizarre rituals as snake handling are independent of mainstream organizations.

But your assertions are entertaining to read and are a great indicator of what you do not know, but rather choose to believe.

The ONLY reason that those things aren't practiced is because they are illegal. There are fundamentalists in this country in the millions who believe that the bible should be lived by word-for-word. Pat Roberston would be the first one to televise the stoning of a woman who committed adultery if it were legal and you fucking KNOW it.

You can't say islam isn't mainstream considering that its the largest religion on earth.

Islam is mainstream, but like Christianity, it has its share of kooks that are not. Kinda like mainstream porn gets associated with the Monica Fosters and that Porn Wikileaks dude.

it has a HUGE share of kooks. We have fucking christian kooks running to be president and YOU want them to win. Romney believed we are from another planet and the garden of eden was in Missouri and that you need magical undergarments to procreate. And YOU voted for him to be the leader of our country! He said "There are times when every bit of logic based on all of my experiences tell me to do something, but I'll pray and do what the lord guides me to do." Now to me that is FUCKING CRAZY when you think that he could have been the most powerful man on the planet...oh wait, no he couldn't because he was beaten by more than 5 MILLION votes.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
But not all kooks are alike...at least the christian kooks DO run to the politicians, and protest and vote. The islamic kooks strap bombs to themselves, and blow up buses full of children, just because they disagree with their religious beliefs. That's like saying divorcing your wife, and killing your wife are the same thing, and both are acceptable. As far as religion brainwashing people into giving them their money, thats not anyones fault, but the brainwashed. I was raised by 4 devoutly Catholic Sicilian women...my mom, and her 3 sisters. Two of those 4 women, my late Aunts, that were twins, went to church 3 to 4 times a week, were deeply involved in the church, including prayer groups, help lines, etc. They NEVER gave the church money. They donated time, and loved to help people, but never gave anything monetarily, other then, the fees anyone would pay for funeral services, or in my case, the wedding service. If people feel the need to give, that's their own fault, and not all of those who believe, are that weak minded. Now you have every right to choose NOT to have a faith based system in your life, but when my last Aunt died, I saw some pretty freaky things happen, which I'm sure can all be scientifically explained, but in all reality, what's wrong with an 86 year old woman, feeling at ease in the last few hours of her life? Is it really a horrible thing, that she was able to accept her impending doom a little easier, after receiving last rights? I watched this woman go from struggling to breath, and gasping for air, to absolute calm, just a few seconds after the Priest finished. It didn't cost anyone in that room a stinking penny, but I would have given him the shirt off of my back, for what he did for her.

AND THAT'S THE POINT OF FAITH.

You feel, or don't, whatever you want, but I have no problem with the fact that my loved ones, died with a feeling of a greater purpose.

What exactly do you mean with less diversity?

Here you go this says it perfectly:
[...] Total $71 billion

I agree it's unfair and it could be a very interesting discussion whether any church should pay taxes or not (or in extention of that: if we're all equal should one have more rights then another). Personally I think the church should pay taxes as well.

But if the argument is economics, it's stretching it to say it'll solve many issues. How about tax evasion? A quick look on wiki teaches me the revenue loss for US government is up to 7 times as big as the numbers you mention, with numbers going from 257 to 500 billion US$ per year. There's some bigger fish to catch.

Well let's put it this way,and I will use your country as an example. I have been to Belgium twice. While there seems to be a few Indians, Middle Easterners and a handful of Asians, I don't recall seeing one black police officer or a black person delivering the news reports. I would be surprised if blacks make up 2 percent of the population. These were my observances. Are you the melting pot of Europe? Am I wrong? You tell me.

Basically it's a confirmation of your statement that casual observation isn't the proper way for assessments. I'm not going to bore you with too much numbers but per 100 citizens there are 18 born with a foreign nationality (of which 8 get the Belgian nationality eventually). most of these people are from Europe, Africa or Asia. 68% of people living in the capital Brussels have foreign roots, in some parts of the city it goes up to 97%. A large group of Belgians has roots from allover for whatever reasons: coal and mining industry and immigration of Italians, Turks, Moroccans, the Congo Colony and immigration of Congolese, the European parlement and settling of Europeans... Apart from that Belgium is based on two communities (Flanders, Walloon) with a different culture, three official languages (Dutch, French, German), six (!) parlements and Belgium has been a battleground for over 2000 years for other nations to fight their wars. And that for a country of 11million people

Yes, my time there was very limited. I just didn't see the different ethnicities or at least didn't notice them like I see in New York or Dallas.

And I certainly could not comment on the state of infrastructure except to say that it seemed modern and efficient. It very well could be superior over all to that in the United States, but some places in this country are lacking while I assume some are world class. We have a lot more territory to cover so there is bound to be weak spots.

Jerry Falwell stood in front of his congregation of thousands every week and told them that if giving to the church wasn't the #1 thing in their budget they would never be financially secure. So he sold financial stability to the poor people by telling them to give more of the little money they have to him. He and MANY others say the same and millions blindly follow. They stay poor and the church says "you still need to give more" and they do, and on it goes.

And I just threw up in my mouth a little when I read that you were Sicilian.

And half German, so not only am I as stubborn, as you.....I'm twice as mean, and willing to annex your land. That was a Hitler joke, in case You Missed it.
