Does anybody have any inside info on why she hasn't shot any hardcore movies lately? She apparently got a boob job. It is surgery and would take some time to recover from. Also, porn companies have a tendency to sit on scenes usually.
Who knows why she does what she does except her and her management. Anything outside of that is pure speculation.

ok, on twitter she is still heavily implying that the reason she isnt shooting anymore hardcore scenes is because they wont hire her. What the hell is up with that?
Could be her asking price is too high. Manwin probably isn't paying out more than $1200 - $1400 a scene that doesn't include anal. And for someone like Akira, that would probably seem like an insult. She has a definite audience/followers and is an established Internet presence. But from Manwin's perspective, there is no adult performer out there currently worth changing their rates for.
If she really wanted to release hardcore scenes, she has the avenues to do it. The clips site, her own personal site. But then again, she probably isn't making even a $500 on a single scene that is released on her personal or clips site.
She's past her prime and waited way too long to go hardcore?
Her scenes had no real heat?
Her scenes sucked with one exception?
She insists on working with Knight?
She got old and fat? Don't deny it, look at pictures from even 5 years ago.
And if she wants to do hardcore scenes, she can hire people and make her own. But good luck selling them with the track record she has.
^^^Those brazzerz scenes were better than atleast 80% of Lisa Ann's scenes - especially the Kieran Lee scene. Do we know for sure that she has a large "no" list when it comes to male talent? Yes, she is past her prime, and she probably should have gone hardcore 5 years ago, but she still looks amazing - atleast as good or better than other women getting into the industry at the age of 42. If she took care of herself and put on good performances she could make a good late bloomer hardcore porn career for herself. Hey, Liam Neeson didnt become an action star until his late 50s/early 60s. Successfull changes in genre can happen.

Who's "they?" There are quite a few companies out there.
The question I'd ask is if hardcore is a priority for her anymore. For whatever reason, I suspect it isn't.

Ok I think I figured out why she is shooting almost no hardcore scenes. She seems to only be accepting b/g bookings through her website. Which means she is basically self representing herself, which has never really worked for any performer. Even for a softcore queen who owns her own paysite and businesses, that will not work. As a result, she basically has no name recognition in the hardcore world. That may seem crazy for Akira fans like us, but it appears to be true. I saw a twitter conversation where mimefreak didnt seem to know who she was. She does have a profile at 101 modeling, but she is only listed as solo and g/g there and you cant find her profile in their index. You need a direct link to it. If she is serious about wanting to shoot b/g scenes, she will have to join a talent agency, otherwise we will not see her in anything else.
She just signed with galaxypublicity , which I guess is some sort of porn PR firm. Im not sure if this is supposed to operate like a talent agency. Hopefully this means we will get some new scenes soon. Here is the link.
