I'd sample all the unusual foods I've never tried, but didn't want to risk buying & wasting money throwing out because I didn't like it. Ethnic foods, hipster junk, expensive crap...

That sounds reasonable, because it wouldn't make sense to eat everyday foods when there are lots of exotic delicacies on offer!
