I saw this the other night and it just reafirmed what I already knew,but to have someone like David Stockman the main budget advisor to Ronald Reagan saying it made it special.
I am prompted to post this by comments by house republican Eric Cantor after the big win by them last night.He said one of the messages in this election was to stop "the war on success".What a total lie that statement is and the facts that Stockman gave on 60 minutes prove it.
The war has been on the middle class with the top having gotten lower tax rates while their wealth exploded.
Here is the Stockman quote on the growth of wealth for the top 5% since the Reagan years.
"In 1985, the top five percent of the households, wealthiest five percent, had net worth of $8 trillion, which is a lot. Today, after serial bubble after serial bubble, the top five percent have net worth of $40 trillion," he explained. "The top five percent have gained more wealth than the whole human race had created prior to 1980."
