I'm asking because I'm genuinely curious to the extent that you emphasize the Supreme Court: What exactly are you expecting from an SC with one, maybe two Trump picks on the bench? And what exactly are we supposed to worry about if it isn't Professor Bonespur making the choice?

I guess conservatives expect having a conservative-leaning SC would make it possible to overturn Roe vs Wade et Obergefell vs Hodges

Trump is a progressive/populist. Not a Clinton plant. Democrats are desperate running with this crap. That "plant" could very well stomp her in November as not. Not very smart on the Clinton's part if so.

The good thing is, come winter, we will know what happened.

Unttil then, it is hard to imagine a prsidental race more enterteining / terrifying, and I am talking both sides.

I can even imagine that Hillary and Trump make a deal and plan on running the country together.

There is little left unimaginable.

Technically it will still be Autumn when we will know but considering that Winter comes a little earlier in Germany than it does here, I won't argue the point.

Are you serious??? Take if from a liberal source...

The effects of those lifetime appointments on issues critical to our lives, including civil rights, abortion, campaign finance, affordable medical care and gun control will long outlast his tenure.

Appointing Supreme Court justices is one of the most significant presidential responsibilities, both because of the enormous power that resides in the court and the fact that they are lifetime appointments. The only way a Supreme Court justice leaves office is death, voluntary retirement or impeachment. Accordingly, while you may find presidential term limits reassuring if you don’t like the person who won, their Court appointments may survive decades after their tenure. Justice Antonin Scalia served 30 years on the court until his recent death and had a tremendous impact, not the least of which was the District of Columbia v Heller decision, which is used as a powerful bulwark against gun control legislation.

Well, no shit Scott. That's the way it's always been. You make it sound like the next 4 years, there is some special emphasis on the SC that we should be setting our underwear on fire about.

Keep in mind, the Senate confirms the chosen one, and Trump isn't exactly beating allies off with a stick.

This court is at best 4-4 or even a 5-3 liberal edge right now. Of course there is no urgency to shitlibs like you. There is one automatic liberal apointee waiting in the wings right now if Pantsuit is elected with at least 2 more appointed by her after that. A Hillary presidency has the potential to stack the court 6-3 liberal/conservative. That is reality but keep running your mouth about shit you know nothing about or purposely are in denial about for whatever left-wing reasons are in that skull of yours.

People like him tend to do that - they tend to kind of obtusely fake that these things don't matter when they know damn well they're of critical importance...they are smart enough, but they play that "does it really matter?" bullshit to downplay the importance of it to unsuspecting fence sitters.

For some reason this time around it feels much more important than ever before in my life, probably because the libloons want to contaminate America with legalization of illegals, because they go on and on about the evils of guns and with Obama and his "dreamer" and other crazed bullshit totalitarian exectuive decision behavior lately.

It just has a very critically important feel to it (to me) this time around.

(if Trump doesn't win, against a piece of shit asshole like HIllary, who the book out now exposes as a real piece of white trash shit who has treated people - namely her security detail - like absolutely pieces of shit beneath her)

We all already know pantsuit can be flinty.
But I wouldn't put a lot of stock in "blockbuster tell all" books. They're written with profit in mind. The last blockbuster tell all Clinton book, written by an ex FBI agent, was introduced with exactly the same publicity mongering fanfare and turned out to be more full of holes than swiss cheese.

But, as I said, this election will confirm for me once and for all whether or not the system is flat our rigged by Illuminati crazies bent on our complete destruction.

So if your guy loses again it's not that the majority of people simply preferred someone else and their policies, it's got to be some completely whacked out conspiracy? Seriously? wow. ok then.

libloons lol
what should we call folks who actually believe Mexico is going to pay for a big beautiful wall? lol
Anyway, what would you suggest we do with the 12 million or so illegals who are currently onsite? What's your detailed solution, and how much will it cost?
Re guns: If Clinton wins check back with me in 4 years and if the 2nd amendment has been overturned/private ownership of guns banned I'll sign you over the title to my car (and I love that car!).

If you think Hillary is genuinely a good person, I've got a bridge to sell you...keep believing those lies.

Just listening to that lying, fake bitch makes my head hurt.

See....here's the thing....I read shit like this, but supposedly I'm the one with the "bull in a china shop" reputation? Why is that? I asked a simple and civil question and now I'm getting shit-pelted at by two stuttering, hillbilly baboons? Both of you inbreds take a deep breath (BC, wash some pills down with scotch)(Scott, go hump the neighbors dog) and let's try this again.

The Supreme Court nominations that Trump will get in are beyond critical...the nation in its entirety literally hang in the balance.
I'm asking because I'm genuinely curious to the extent that you emphasize the Supreme Court: What exactly are you expecting from an SC with one, maybe two Trump picks on the bench? And what exactly are we supposed to worry about if it isn't Professor Bonespur making the choice?

All I was asking was why the special emphasis on the next Supreme Court. No Scott, I wasn't attacking you. No BC, I wasn't insulting you (I wasn't even addressing you so how's about removing your cold, wet nose from my anus). I was simply asking why the next 4 years are different from years past. Can you two stop shitting in your hands and taking aim long enough to realize that was what I was doing? Or is that Mom-Dad-Brother-Sister thing finally catching up to you?

And can the rest of you take a moment to realize that I'm not the problem around here?

I think she's a pretty complex person with both a good and a not particularly good side.

All I'm saying is I wouldn't give 2 cents for this ex CIA guy's pot boiler book, or allow it to impact my opinion of her one way or the other. His motivation $$$ is completely transparent.

Anyway, what would you suggest we do with the 12 million or so illegals who are currently onsite? What's your detailed solution, and how much will it cost?

This was a serious question, not a dig. I'm interested to know, what would be your solution, how would it play out and how much might it cost?

Start shipping these law breakers the fuck back to where they came from. I'm not a hundred percent absolute on this, but I believe America may be the last (for sure one of the last 2 or 3) countries in the West that has birthright citizenship. To say that's problematic is an understatement.

Build the wall (as Trump advocates), ship out illegals when they are caught, cut off federal funding for sanctuary cities, fine businesses into financial failure who hire illegals...the points of addressing are numerous and can be tackled in numerous ways.

Anyone who advocates that law-breakers are fine here (who advocate that point in itself is the advocation of ILLEGAL/LAW BREAKING behavior, so your/their advocating by definition) makes such your/their stance(s) total garbage.

Seriously? :1orglaugh

Ok but 12 million of them? How do we even work out the logistics of that? They would seem to be staggering.

IF the west includes north, central and south America there are actually about 28, including Mexico and Canada. But ok yes we could move forward with that. It's still not an answer for the current 12 million, though.

fine businesses into financial failure who hire illegals

Sounds good to me. But it always has and it rarely happens, no matter which political party is in power. And I think we all know why.

So you wouldn't consider granting an amnesty of the sort Reagan did?

The number of 11 million has been thrown around for at least 10 years and it has to be far more than that by now. A realistic estimate would be 15-20 million by now. Eisenhower successfully deported about 1.5 million and another million or so self deported fearing arrest.

As for Reagan, he agreed back when the numbers were around 3 million with the promise to control the border and to never grant it again. Look where we are at now. Birthright citizenship is insanity and it must end. A Hillary presidency could put us on the fast track for Article V convention of states that could actually be a blessing in disguise and these things can be addressed constitutionally.

I think it was actually more like 5 million, but where we are now is greatly a result of the government not efficiently enforcing the law's requirements pertaining to employers hiring illegals. Would you agree?

Of course Reagan promised it would only be a one time thing. Politically, how could he possibly say otherwise? But it seems to me like the weight of practicality might be demanding a redo, with an emphasis on much stricter enforcement in the aftermath.

LMFAO...I'm an inbred hillbilly? You really don't know me. Every single one of my immediate family members are college graduates (well-to-do at that), myself included, and I am half Nordic and a quarter Slavic, quarter Germanic (Swedish/Danish, Czech/German)...I can assure you, I am no inbred. My background (entirely European that it is) is probably more diverse than yours.

So you wouldn't consider granting an amnesty of the sort Reagan did?

Absolutely not...and for the reason you pointed out, I've always loathed Reagan...I'm farther "right" than Reagan ever was I can assure you that. His atrocity of legalization in and of itself made him a failure in my book, but I wasn't even born by the time he first walked into the White House, so I played no role in his presidency.

Coulter (in her last book, I believe) laid out that there are as many as 30 million illegals currently in America. I'm more inclined to believe her research than our corrupt/lying government.

No worries Scott. He's calling me the inbred hillbilly because I am from the south and I vote republican. Never mind the fact that this Guido from Jersey probably spent the formative years of his life shitting in the pine barrens and trying to locate his real father. He probably doesn't even hold a high school equivalency diploma.
