I'm fine with it.

Liberals/leftists have always been shamelessly classless in everything they've been about. Self righteous god damn assholes who label you a "racist" or "chauvinist" or "bigot" if you are even slightly right of their fascist worldview of things. Cultural marxist "tolerant" types who aren't tolerant at all of differing opinions from their progressivist ram-down-our-throats horse manure.

As I said earlier in this thread, the butthurt that will be displayed by elitist leftists and the left in general is going to be pure entertainment from my perspective. I would have paid to see it, but it's already fantastic, and will be great fun over the next 4-8 years.

It's our turn now to have the last laugh.

I don't advocate what I posted in Post #2554, I was just trolling my conservatives friends here.

Nice display of the tolerance you so admire from those you feel opposed to, I'm sure you're going to love the Senate Democrats if they're half the obstructionist fuckholes Senate Republicans have been for the last few years.

Don't much care. The foremost issue that got me to cast for Trump was the Supreme Court. It was as simple as that.

All of his rhetoric of dealing with the illegal squatters, and the wall, and banning Muslims, etc. etc....while all of that was right up my alley and I agreed with all of it, I never was naive enough to think all of that was going to come to fruition (time will tell...).

The fact that now I feel infinitely better about our most significant court remaining sane...that alone was worth my vote for Trump.

Considering how absurdly left-leaning the vast majority of the rest of the West has gone, none of them are any sort of example I would want anything to do with. Finally change seems to be on the horizon throughout the West now though, with right-wing groups starting to pop up throughout Europe and movements like "Brexit" taking place. The open door madness going on in Europe - essentially the recolonization via foreign hordes - that seems to be a big part of it.

Your view of the world makes me thankful that I'm not a republican.
Do you actually believe that the afordable care act or any liberal agenda is made to make republicans suffer???
They are created with the hope that the greatest number of people benefit.
The republicans are the ME party and the democrats are the WE party.
All you care about is what benefits you the most and it seems like you couldn't give a rats ass if anyone else dies of hunger or illness.
All that repressed anger comes from somewhere inside you and is directed at anyone who is remotely different from you.
All your beliefs are dictated by your party and you are afraid to think for yourself.
Universal health care benefits everyone, the current insurance health system is a tiered system that benefits the richest people.
Fossil fuels are destroying the planet, wind and solar are sustainable and don't pollute, etc...
You don't have to hate people just because they are different from you.

And for the record, I haven't voted republican for a president in more than half the presidential elections I've had the chance to vote in (five at this point). I'm conservative, not a republican.

I hate left-wingers and progressive pushers because they hate me. The only Americans the government now openly allows legal discrimination of - the white male.

Hi Everybody.
2 Cents- There is a difference in Republicans and Democrats in Washington yes.
But that's not really very important. It's gonna be that way for a while.
The heart of the problem is not really what team their on.
The problem is that so many have been there so long that it's become a Big Club.
Neither is in reality out to destroy the other. Theyve been their so long that they feed off each other and get very rich doing it.

It's croneyism all the way. Neo Libs, Neo Cons......their end results are the same.
The one thing most of them have in common is they are all/both usually go completely opposite of what the will of the people is.

So don't fall into the trap of the 2 headed snake too much.
They throw issues like abortion, gay rights, planned parenthood, and the like out there for us to chew on like a master throwing scraps to his dog.....while they eat the big meal up at the table.
So don't let yourselves get too distracted by the whole Dem/Repub thing.

We The People have to concentrate on removing the incumbents, the career politicians.
Get them and there croneyism politics out of our GOV and out of our lives for the good of us all.

It will take time and we've just made a huge leap in progress but putting a person who has no allegience to any of them in charge of them.
This will put the screws to a lot of them. Maybe some won't stick around when they realize the party (that we have been paying for) is over.

But that is what we need to do. Stay focused, don't squabble about the unimportant things they distract us with and vet the incumbents out of power every chance we get.
Drain the Swamp.
Thanks.

This guy Styx may look like a hippy but he really knows his shit. He also called the election almost 100% state by state.
He explains it well.

Soooooooooooooo much butthurt going on in major cities right now. What these oxygen thieves fail to understand is that Trump won a fair and free election because we, as a nation, are fed up with entitlement mindset, participation trophies, political correctness and the direction in which this country has been heading.

The whole reason for the electoral college is to counter mob mentality. I personally am not a huge fan of it, but I understand its necessity. I just saw some assclown in Chicago tell a black reporter that he's pissed that his vote didn't count and he was being treated like he counted as 3/5ths of a human being. A. White. Guy. I have the biggest schadenboner right now.

I hope this giddy feeling continues past President Elect Trump's innauguration.

It is quite a lot of butthurt, maybe not quite as much as vowing to make Trump a one-term president their highest priority, but still, quite a bit.

If we didn't have the electoral college a handful of radically nutjub left states like California and NY would have a disproportionate amount of influence.

Some politician once said "elections have consequences..." or some such. I wonder who that was...?

I think that's a point lost on a lot of people. At best, the court is 4-1-3 to the left, and that's assuming you consider Kennedy as a centrist/moderate... although you couldn't really tell by his recent decisions.
Replacing Scalia with Garland would have pretty much guaranteed every future decision to go left. I strongly feel you need a 4-1-4 split in the SC, which I assume you're referring to.

I think it should be majority conservative as conservative judges tend to be the ones taking strict constitutional view; left wingers and progressives almost always take an activist stance.

Trump is counting on Senate Democrats to block far right appointments to the Supreme Court. There will be no uber-conservative majority, after failing to appoint "another Scalia", Trump will send moderates that eventually lean to the left.

Can senate republicans use the nuclear option to eliminate the filibuster for supreme court nominees? Because they need to do that.

Elections have consequences.

Mitch McConnell has already taken the nuclear option off the table.

I think it should be an American who wishes to uphold the rule of law not force personal adgends in place of actual law regardless of how they vote.

this call for unity. Isn't it the same call after EVERY election but the partisan divide goes on?

Not that I'm complaining. There are fundamental differences. How do you compromise good with shit?

The most important thing to start with is your attitude. Try to understand other people's beliefs and then try to reach a mutually beneficial agreement. It's not rocket science.

In your alternative universe...

I know it's painful to realize that you were sold one item but delivered another, that's classic bait and switch, but that's the stark realization you and the rest of the Alt-Right will be facing in the coming months.
