2007 MLB Thread

ouch:eek: that's a tough one to take. Hopefully the Yanks will get theirs starting tomorrow night. The next 3 days are planned around that series for me.

if i had my way, there would be no indian bullpen. id leave the starters in all game no matter how bad they are that day. at least them being tired would be a viable excuse.

no comment on the yankee red sox series.

Ouch, sorry about that Iamforever.

ive seen them blow plenty of saves the past season+ but this one hurts. maybe its because it was the yankees, or a-rod. ive had time to think about it and i think i figured out why i was so pissed. i think its because carmona will never have a good start like he did today. no he wasnt the pitcher in line for the win, but still. ;)

You shouldn't be blaming Borowski, but your manager, Wedge. I caught the 9th inning of that game, and first base was open after the runners moved over on the wild pitch. Borowski might of thrown another wild pitch and walked in the tying run, but there were already two outs, and A-Rod is on fire. He should of walked him.

While I'm on..

Buehrle > Santana

trust me, wedge i hate. but i found out he was an incompetent butthead a couple years ago. i got tired of blaming him. i did notice first base open. when i saw baseball tonight i started cussing them out again. i shouldnt have watched. watching the game live on the internet was bad enough. ;)

for one day, my friendly rival. for one day.

This year the Mets

Not if the Dodgers stay (or in Schmidt's case get) healthy.
Heck they're 12-5 despite their 1-2 hitters being off to very slow starts.

(my apologies to the entire Dodger organization and Dodger fans everywhere for having just now officially jinxed their season lol)

I actually don't think that strategy was as bad as most people think. I don't know who was after A-rod, but having Borowski pitch with the bases loaded in that situation could have been worse and probably wasn't much better. He has no room for error and the batter knows that he can't be walked. Borowski would have probably just have ended up serving nice floaters over the plate in that situation. In a way he was in a bad situation and screwed either way. Having all those runners get on before that was much more detrimental to the game than the A-rod homer.

but at the end, it will be a musical chairs for second place. with chicago, detroit and the other team.:D

LOL Yeah maybe.

I see the Indians are on a bit of a run lately and so I peaked at their schedule...all cupcakes on the menu for a few weeks. Yikes. This is when good teams separate themselves from the pack. I guess we're gonna see if "they are who we thought they were" now..

;)
