Today, I might get away with it. At that time what was happening at GITMO was a time out compared to the "attitude adjustments" given by my parents. :)

My parents got the other programs, so they did not care. Regular programs were clear, just the adult movies were scrambled. At 14 thru 17, I really had no say so in the subject.

In my area growing up, Thursday thru Sunday from 11PM till 2AM, it was scrambled on one channel that showed porn (Super TV).
