Seems like if we have to start making new **** stalls depending on peoples sexual preference instead of gender( and everybody has a gender, either male or female) then we're gonna need a lot of different ones.
1 - Males who like females.
2 - females who like males.
3 - bisexuals.

5 - males who like males
6 - females who like females.
7 - males who are still not sure
8 - females who are still not sure

Get real? Gender identity and sexuality are two hugely different things--even without taking trans into the picture, being born a woman can still leave you heterosexual or homosexual, two different sexual preferences in one gender. So no, your point isn't valid, because you're comparing apples and oranges, and it will end at affording basic decency to people who don't deserve your ignorance.

But we can be accommodating. Even one extra bathroom in a large public building would be a huge improvement--even just one bathroom catering to the whole LGBT population of a school would allow a small-but-marginalised group of people to have somewhere they don't need to feel self-conscious about themselves in face of people who think they're somehow "wrong". You don't need to have separate infrastructure for straight men, gay men, straight women, gay women, trans men, trans women, etc etc, which seems to be your worry ("give an inch and they'll take a mile"--sometimes an inch is all that's wanted for), as the issue seems to be much more about comfort and safety than about everyone having the same number of pisspots. When I went to school there was a separate toilet for the junior students (ages 11-15 or so) and senior students (16-18ish), and I live on an ass-backwards rock--but the reason for these two separate rooms was still the same underlying concern, to avoid making people unnecessarily uncomfortable when they're getting their bits out in a busy public building. It's not that hard to extend the same idea just a little reach further.

I went to high school in one of the most liberal areas in the entire country, and people could talk about "God" as freely as they wanted to. I remember feeling like one of the least religious **** in all of my classes, including sociology and psychology.

Once they get into school they've got to stay there and act as whatever is chosen. There are stalls in all of the rooms so just go into one and do your business. What am I not seeing?

That kind of work ain't cheap by no stretch.

To add a new crapper in each would cost about 10 grand each for that kind of renovation.
