Rugby World Cup 2011

Closer but still convincing, 37-17 All Blacks def. France
Premium Link Upgrade , Mils Muliaina could get there too being on 98 at the moment
Only Canada left :bunnycake: Their important game is in a couple of days against Japan

England beat Romania 67-5, enough blowouts now.

Fiji/Samoa, Ireland/Russia and Argentina/Scotland are the next days games.

England's best performance so far, learning from there mistakes, a good solid performance but still room for improvement. All blacks were up against it the first 15 minutes but the French just couldn't score, then they conceded a couple of tries and gave up, typical France.

Dramatic finish to a slow and rainy game, two desparate sides and Argetina def. Scotland 13-12 in the end :hatsoff: Argies stay alive for a QF position, most likely to meet the All Blacks there.

Samoa also def. Fiji 27-7 and Ireland def Russia 62-12.

Wales/Namibia tomorrow, no dragon slaying there I would think.

Argentina are welcome to the QFs.We were absolutely **** and simply
don't deserve to go through. As for that Robinson,he can stay in NZ
after the England game because he shouldn't have a job to come back
home to :ban:

Japan vs Canada, playing off for 3rd spot and automatic qualification to the next world cup...up they tie!
23-23

Canada has more competition points though from their win over Tonga while Japan didn't win a game.
Unless Tonga somehow beat France or score 4 tries + lose by 7 or less, Canada will finish third.

Namibia were the first team to be eliminated yesterday after they got crushed again. Had to play 4 games in something like 14 days though, that is a bit unfair.

Tonga beat France :surprise: 19-14
Could have been something like 26-9 pretty easily too

France have not a had a good tournament, lucky they haven't been eliminated.
Perhaps Scotland can take inspiration and beat England

South Africa had a tough game yesterday too, still managed a 14-5 win over Samoa

England win 16 ~ 12 against Scotland. They need a miracle from Georgia tomorrow against Argentina.

I have no idea what it was I was watching, but that was a great come-from-behind win for England. I tuned in just as they were coming off the field for halftime, and the commentator was saying they were playing very badly. Well, they got their **** together pretty well. The guy that ran in for the the goal (whatever the hell you call it), in the last 5 minutes wasn't about to be stopped by anything. Very enjoyable to watch, but I still have no fuckin' clue what's going on.:1orglaugh

Chris Ashton. He had no time for his signature swallow dive for the try, but it counted and great vision from Toby Flood for the long pass.
Poor first half from England (2nd was not that much better) blighted with ill discipline giving away far too many penalties.

If you want to know how rugby should be played watch the All Blacks. If you want to know how rugby should not be played watch England and France.

^^^ That sux. I mean, to get an injury during a match is one thing, but during drills is just dementedly sad. I feel sorry for the guy.

So Tonga has a fluke victory over France and takes third place in the group unless Canada can beat New Zealand, which will not happen in a million years.

What bullshit.

79-15 for New Zealand. I was hoping the game would have been a little more competitive than that but Canada was completely outclassed.

Yea, got owned in scrums especially...4 won against the feed, usually there are none...Pushover try, haven't seen one in a long time.
Not bad in the tournament though, unlucky that Tonga got ahead of them. They should still be able to qualify next time anyway.

Don't know if I trust Slade, always looks like he scared or something...did some good things still, but no Carter. Scared he might go AWOL in a semi or final.
Nice kick pass by SBW. Might get replaced by Nonu for the important games though.

Ireland/Italy the best game left in pool play now.

Ireland vs. Italy is supposed to be a "reel fyrecracka" according to the commentary. Any predictions?

And hell, since I'm here....what about Wales vs. Fiji?

Fiji is good at Sevens but not so much with 15-a-side, plus all their awesome players like Caucaunibuca are retired now, so they are the worst Pacific Island team I would say.
Wales are pretty good, they should win fairly comfortably. Might get close though.

Ireland/Italy would be the better matchup, I guess Ireland would win something like 21-12 :dunno:
