I don't really like female rock singers. Unless they are backup on a few tracks. Not sexist, just don't think they rock as hard.

Few exceptions, Gwen Stefani is great, but that's because she's always been leaning more towards pop-rock styles.

PJ Harvey would get my vote if she was up there.

I'm not that familiar with female rock singers or rock singers in general but Shirley Manson got my vote.
 
If she can string words together coherently, Whitney Houston. Otherwise, Tina Turner.
