As I've promised, I'm not going to give up on the poker idea. I think it can be really fun once we get it off the ground. I know what wrong on my side here, but I need some feedback from the community so I know what you guys want.

Overall, I only had 14 people sign up in the first place. I honestly thought I'd have more interest. So if you guys could take a few minutes to fill out the poll I'd really appreciate it.

If you can't find an option above that fits your reason, or you'd like to elaborate, please post your response!

5 MyFO points a seat. :)

Petra I have to apologize. I signed up and bought a seat for the tournament but Saturday was bad day for me. I am really sorry. I knew I was going to be cutting it close saturday because I was traveling and it took alittle longer than I thought at the airport. I think overall Saturday is a tough day for most people. Thanks so much for your hard work Petra and the FreeOnes Team for getting the tournament together. I would love to play though. I will not miss it next time. Sorry.

Don't laugh, okay.

I didn't just because I don't know how the game is played.

Otherwise I would have joined for being there enjoying the thrill of the game. Whether my time will permit or not, will be secondary. That will have to be seen on the date itself.

Not into Poker, or card games in general. I do love some Egyptian Ratscrew though, that's my exception ;)

i think the best time to do it, would be a sunday...that's a relaxing day for everyone and basically everyone is home...i signed up and i forgot about it...i was like 20-30 mins late...and the site wasnt really that good...it was confusing to find the tournament...sites like pokerstars and fulltilt you cant find it really easy to move around and find tournaments

if I would have known, I would have made the final table... online play is my game

I didn't really want to install anything on my computer, and I'm not that good at poker anyway...

not a poker person. i dont understand, nor desire to learn this texas hold em stuff. if it was mahjong, however, id think about it. (and not that tile matching crap either).

i am also shocked at the low turnout. seems like everyone loves that ****.

I seem to be in the minority with choice #2, but #1 & #3 also apply. I think before you schedule another event you should beta test/dress rehearsal a sample game with just a few people to get any bugs worked out.

--From the start of this it actually looked like there was some interest.
--The U.S. players were held out because of unforeseen site rules.
--A lot of people fear these downloads, although they have been perfectly safe for me so far

If there is going to be a next try, first we need to gauge and spark interest. This is a big and well-traveled board and there are bound to be a lot of poker players. Then we should shop sites--too many of them have harsh or strict tournament acceptance rules. Last we need to explore alternatives: instead of a one-time tourney, how about someone(s) organize some kind of weekly game on a prescribed site for those interested. If there are those of you who are interested but are unfamiliar with the game, it's pretty simple. PM me if you want instructions.

I would have considered it, but I don't want to install anything I don't have to, I don't want to place my trust in a site I'm not familiar with, I'm not that big of a poker player, and I live in the US like mail dude said. (Also it probably isn’t major enough to have anything come of it, but I don’t even know if it’s legal in an absolutely technical way where I’m at considering I might win something.) One of the biggest reasons is that I’m personally not that big going out of my way to win most of the contest you put up in general, but I can see how it might be fun for people that like it. I suppose if it was quicker, simpler, more hassle free, and you ran it yourselves somehow, I would maybe consider something like that.
