Snow In UK!

Wow, that's actually a good amount of snow. Wonder how many people are going to die? If this happened in, say, San Diego, there would be eighty people who manage to fall in the snow and drown somehow...

Probably a few but not many.Where most people live there isn't far to go to find shelter.Road deaths actually fall during snowfalls , a combination of fewer drivers and slower speeds.

There's a fucking shedload here.My village has got 8 inches and i've had to
leave the car in the street. The last time I saw snow like that here was when
i was a nipper :)

Good for all of you your now dealing with something i delted with for the frist 23 years of my life up here in upsate ny enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^ I also used to live in upstate NY. That **** was EASY compared to this. America is prepared for the worst, you have people ploughing your roads daily, shoveling your sidewalks, laying grit down. Not to mention chains for your tires, bigass shovels, and snow pants/jackets.

We aren't prepared for any of it!

^ A few more inches tonight apparently

BUT WHO DOESN'T WANT A FEW MORE INCHES, RIGHT? EH? EH?

I love how tonights news described the snow as another blow to the economy, keeping people indoors and preventing people from spending money etc etc. Bullshit! Any damn excuse to make things seem worse than they are and less like its the fault of the people who are responsible.

I think the headlines were "Recession Snowballs" not "Snowballs cause recession!"

Woo-Hoo!! The south east of England has been hit by severe snow, here in London buses have been cancelled, tube trains partly suspended etc. I was dreading my journey into work, & then my manager phoned to say don’t bother coming in!! The office has been closed!!

I don't get such surprise days off being in Miami, Florida. But... the trade off is the tons of hot half-naked babes around

That is bullshit, I just bought a CD, DVD and a book off of Amazon, if I was out today I never would have bought those things.

So if more people like me did the same thing it might actually help the economy. :dunno:

Yes, hopefully I wont have to go in again :nanner:

Damn I'm lazy..........fuck it!

Lucky you.

I'm manager, I NEED to go in, even though I'll just end up closing early again.

But hey, walking in the snow is kinda fun.

Ahh the obligations of the master. Better you than me :D

Walking in the snow in a sturdy boot can be fun, but if you like me enjoy the feel of something comfortable on your feet, walking in the snow isnt really walking, Its more like crawling with a fractured skull......

I stayed in and had a wank...

It won't help the economy, but it felt good all the same.

Housewives in the south of England are expecting six inches or more tonight... I hope their husbands don't find out.

So the economy lost over a billion pounds yesterday.

Nice to know that the government and authorities show their concern about the recession by NOT getting the gritters out on Saturday and Sunday, NOT preparing the Tube and Rail networks, and NOT adhering to the weather warnings that we've been having since Thursday night.

Ten out of ten.

Actually got stranded in Central London Sunday night. Damn you TfL!

Lucky for me some of the tube network was active Monday morning.

This was my street yesterday:
