peyton manning wins 3rd mvp award

associated press nfl mvp voting

Peyton Manning Colts 32
Chad Pennington Dolphins 4
Michael Turner Falcons 4
Adrian Peterson Vikings 3
James Harrison Steelers 3
Philip Rivers Chargers 2
Chris Johnson Titans 1
Kurt Warner Cardinals 1

Ridiculous IMO. Everyone seems to forget how bad he was in the first part of the season. That fact that Kurt Warner only got one vote seems idiotic considering how good he was for the majority of the season.

17 tds to 3 ints...during their winning streak...yeah, that deserves a mvp award...9 game winning streak...brees didnt even get a vote

Great for Manning Brees does not get a vote is strange but the Saints finished 8-8

There was no ultra-dominant obvious choice this year, but Manning probably deserved this one also. It would have been nice if more defensive players got some votes though.

My vote would have gone to Chad Pennington....but i have no issues with Manning winning it

Exactly how I feel. I honestly think that this was his worse season even though they made playoffs. Michael Turner would of been a better choice IMO.

Let go Chargers!!!

Dont **** the man, congratulate the man! He SINGLEHANDIDLY bought that team back from obscurity to the playoffs ONCE AGAIN! Hes hands down the best quarterback in the game today and any comparisons to Brett Farve or *cough cough* Chad "fucking" Pennington are an insult to intelligent people in general!!!

Same here! Love Manning, but Pennington always had the mojo, just injury prone. I dont like the Dolphins, but love the story line back from 1 win last year into the playoffs!

now why do you gotta **** on Chad Pennington, he had a great year, and brought the team from the absolute dumps of last season, and led them down the stretch to a Division title and a home playoff game

like i said i dont mind manning winning it, but i would have voted chad, and, for this season at least, it is not an insult to be compared with chad pennington

Not hating, just being realistic!....Chad dont belong in the same convo. as Peyton and thats no ********, just reality!
Besides, Chad just won his 2nd. comeback player of the year award which means that he usually sucks in between the good seasons he has! LOL

Like the GREAT Stephen A. Smith from ESPN says....."Quite frankly, when compared to guys like Brett Farve and Peyton Manning, Chad Pennington is going to war with a water ****** for an arm and those 2 guys have bazookas!!"

over the course of their careers, yes i agree, Pennington is nowhere NEAR this conversation
but the MVP is an annual thing....each year individually
so for this season only...i think its fair to do it
at the end of their careers, they cant be compared

Most Valuable Player. Without Manning the Colts wouldnt have sniffed .500. Colts had no running game, quite a few nagging injuries (Bob Sanders, O-Line), an inconsistent defense and Peyton was coming off of two surgeries and when he got into form around mid season it was vintage Peyton. Now the Dolphins would not have been as good as they are without Pennington but was he as important to the Dolphins as Manning was to the Colts? The voting was very NL Cy Young like, not really a clear cut choice, lots of worthy recipients, but in the end a landslide victory to a worthy choice. But alas them Colts will probably end up losing to the Chargers as they usually do in the playoffs.

Don't know if I agree with that. Even though his early-season performance was a result of injuries. Pennington and Peterson deserved it as much.
