X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Well, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought they saw a young Storm in the trailer.

I know they'll probably change it, but Emma Frost would look so much sexier if they did the whole white corset and white lace up boots verison. I'm kinda surprised they're getting away with her look in the "Wolverine And The X-Men" cartoon as they are (which is the Joss Whedon/John Cassaday version).

After X-Men 3, they better make a great movie this time. I really doubt they will, but I hope. Sabretooth's feud with Wolverine better be the main storyline.

The problem is that if it is the main storyline, then it makes everything between those two in the first X-Men movie look even worse than portrayed, because it was pretty fucking bad to begin with.

And this, ladies and gents,is why they really need to stop fucking up these comic movies.I mean,c'mon, how fucking hard was it to really stick to the original X-Men storyline to begin with? They should've started the story around the original six and introduce Wolverine in a better way later in the movie.

The X-Men storyline as we know it now completely fucks up the whole thing. If the filmmaker had half a brain, they would have done some more research and found out that probably the most popular character after Wolverine is Gambit. He should have been in the X-Men movies with a grown up Rogue instead of Anna Paquin(I love her in True ***** so I'm not raggin' on her),and they could have played out their romance. Now I'm not as well versed in the X-men canon as most, but what the fuck do most of these character's have to do with Wolverines past?I can see where Deadpool and, obviously Sabertooth come in, but where does where does Emma Frost(why the fuck isn't anyone calling her the White Queen anymore?),The Blob,Baek(?),Storm(!?),and Cyclops(!!??:wtf:) have to do with any of this?

The more I hear, the more I worry that it's gonna get fucked up just as bad as the X-Men movies.:2 cents:

You do bring up some good points. A lot of these characters have little if anything at all to do w/ Weapon X. In some cases the age would be all wrong, IE, Gambit, Emma Frost, etc. And, then there is the fact that in the first X-Men movie there is no hint that Wolvie and Sabertooth, have or have not met in the past.

But, that being all said, the first two X-Men movies, are to me, amung the best of the superhero films. And, I think if done right, this one could be great. It has a lot of potential.

As for why Emma Frost is called that and not the White Queen, well, i think when she turned good, she was no longer called the White Queen (her hellfire Club name). Also, at some point did not the Skrulls not replace her or something? idk, I did not read Secret Invasion.

I will respectfully disagree with you there.I did like the 2nd movie(not love),but the 1st movie was total garbage as was the 3rd.The only thing I liked about either of them was when Xavier just pretty much exploded in that house. That was pretty cool.

I think that the whole pseudo "Dark Phoenix Saga" was a fucking joke(the only thing that I didn't like about the 2nd movie).

I don't know, maybe I'm just being too pessimistic, but with all of the garbage that's come out,I think I have good reason to be.I will definitely go see it,I'm just hoping that I'm not going to be wasting my movie.

The 3rd film was a waste of potentially great material.

Yup,and characters as well.Juggernaut just wasn't the unstoppable ***** that he should have been.

As a matter of fact,I think that it's safe to say that outside of Professor X,Wolverine,*****,Kitty Pride, and Nightcrawler, this is one of the most miscast series that I've ever seen.

I liked Famke Jansen as Jean Grey. Then again I am fan of hers, but she was utterly ****** in the 3rd movie.

I'm a Famke fan as well, and I won't say that it was bad to cast her as Jean Grey, they could have put anyone in there and it might not have made a difference, with the lack of character development she had.

If they wanted her to really be a focal point in the movie, then I would have liked to have seen a stronger leading lady, like Nicole Kidman(who I think would have been great, but there would be no way that she would have done it),instead of wasting their budget on Halle Berry as Storm, who was terribly miscast.Angela Bassett would have been more convincing in that role, imo.

I want to see Nina in the Wolverine movie, now she is freakin hot !

How is it possible that she looks better every day, I mean what is it witch craft or something ?

Nina, you are the **** !

I don't mind that they have Storm cameoing, but she should be in Africa, not any where near Wolverine. I think they just added Cyclops because his origin with his *** being some space adventurer is kind of complicated; he's supposed to cameo as a *** with his eyes blindfolded or something. But the real reason? They just want to have as many cameos/X-characters as possible.

Wolverine should be able to carry a movie on his own though, he's already become so much more popular than the actual X-Men themselves, they could make a movie without the "X-Men Origins" title and just call it Wolverine and it'll make millions IMO

I totally agree about the title and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they dropped the "X-Men Origins" from the title, but if what someone else said is correct and they plan on making a series of origin movies, then I'm sure it will stay.Unfortunately, just like the Electra movie,no one will probably give a rat's ass because none of the other back stories will translate good to film, imo. So what they will do,like they do with all of these movies,is take huge creative freedoms with the characters and completely ruin them...Pretty much what they have already done.

Now as far as Cyclops,I'm sure that they are gonna fuck it all up and not even show his ******* Havoc at all, which would be sooooo fucked up.

Good point I never thought of that but your right!!

Thanks Nina. Also,I never really cared for the guy who's Cyclops. For a guy that's supposed to be the leader of The X-Men,he sure got overshadowed big time by Hugh Jackman. Two good candidates that I've just come up with off of the top of my head could've either been Patric Wilson from the upcoming Watchmen movie,or how about Dominic Percell from Prison Break? I think He would have been a really good choice,if I do say so myself(and,it wouldn't cost a fortune to get him to sign on to do the movie either).

I'm gonna hold off my judgment with Emma Frost until I actually see the movie. We don't know where this movie is going to end up next. I've read that Emma Frost and Banshee are both captives of the Weapon X program. Wolverine works FOR the Weapon X program. It might all be cameo and they're keeping the actress who plays Emma on the lowdown since it was Hugh Jackman that let it slip she was in the movie, not anybody else. Might be a point where she's young and what happens in the movie makes her run off to the Hellfire Club where she becomes the White Queen. Might could lead into the sequel, which will be set in Japan. Nobody knows yet.

Actually when they first started pitching the movie in '95 (right after ST:TNG ended) Angela Bassett's name was mentioned/attached to the project as Storm. I guess by the time the movie went into production maybe they thought Angela Bassett was too old.

Really I think Ryan Reynolds is great for Deadpool he is a perfect one liner smartass!

I started reading Comics a little over a year ago. I started with the "Civil War" event and there was a couple Cable and Deadpool in there and i fell in love with Deadpool and his smartass comments when i found out Ryan Reynolds was playing him i knew it would be great. I cannot wait till this movie comes out I hope it is good.
