Ohio State has talent. Ohio State has coaching. But they played like **** when it mattered and don't deserve the BCS this year. Florida had a crappy year last year and got punked by Meat in the Capital One bowl right? I think they turned it around this year. Ohio State will be back next season, nobody doubts that. But to put them in the BCS this year, when they've done nothing trashes the sanctity of the BCS process, imo.

USC better destroy ucla next week....
To say that the Buckeyes don't deserve to be in a "BCS" bowl is going a little far. After all, they ARE 10 - 2 with losses only to USC and to Penn State. Now, to state that they don't deserve a spot in the BCS Championship Game is another matter altogether, and is one that I can agree with. But to state that Ohio State doesn't deserve a trip to ANY BCS bowl, well, I don't think that's fair.

It looks like it will be Oklahoma playing Missouri in the BigXII champion how do you guys feel about that..
I have no stake in it so I don't really care. Assuming Oklahoma beats Missouri and Florida beats Alabama I think we'll all be in for a GREAT national championship game come January. But I think that game would have been just as good, if not better, with Texas in it. Hmmm. Maybe the Longhorns can still make it! If Missouri beats Oklahoma next Saturday I think the Longhorns would then go to the national championship game, wouldn't they?

Are you saying that the case *could* be made that Ohio State deserves to be in the Championship Game? Friend, they have done nothing this year. They practically lost to Ohio U in the Shoe! They have played their way to the Capitol One Bowl.

Boise State is atleast undefeated this year and I don't think this year's Ohio State team could play Boise's schedule undefeated. Ohio State, this year, would get rolled in Autzen against the Ducks.

Here is how the BCS SHOULD LOOK

Championship: Florida v Okie
Sugar: Alabama vs Texas
Rose: USC v Penn State
Fiesta: Cincy v Boise State
Orange: BC v Utah

I don't see why they wouldn't. I know that (F)UCLA upset the Trojans in the Rose Bowl a couple of years ago, but going into that game the Trojans had beaten the Bruins 8 straight times in football and A) I think the Trojans had gotten a little complacent about beating the Bruins and B) I think the Bruins finally decided that they'd had just about enough of losing to the Trojans on the football field and they decided to do something about it. This year the Bruins have only a 1-game losing streak to the Trojans in football going into that game but more importantly, as I've posted several times, (F)UCLA's quarterback this year TOTALLY SUCKS. Frankly, I'm amazed that the Bruins have been able to win ANY games this season with that putz at quarterback. Even against other crappy teams this year that hosebag of a quarterback has coughed the ball up at least 2 or 3 times a game. Just wait until he faces the Trojan defense. I'll be surprised if he doesn't cough the ball up against them the way Max Hall of BYU did against Utah (6 X - 5 picks and one fumble) in the "Holy War." And trust me, (F)UCLA's current quarterback isn't NEAR the passer that Max Hall of BYU generally is. That game next Saturday should be over by halftime, much as USC's game against Notre Dame was. In fact, if the Bruins are still in that game after one quarter, I'll be shocked.

Texas has a right to be pissed. They beat Okie straight up. I do think Okie is playing better now...but it's hard to look past that head to head loss.
I agree with you 100%. But I can also see how the Sooners would have been pissed if they'd been ****** over to appear in that game next Saturday. I still think the Longhorns are the better team. Maybe Mizzou can prove all of us wrong and beat the Sooners next Saturday and help the Longhorns get into the national championship game in January.

but then okie could make their case that they destroyed texas tech, who beat texas....im not taking sides....im just saying...
Yeah, I know. I think my argument in favor of the Longhorns would go something like this: yeah, I know that the Sooners beat by over 40 points the one team that Texas lost to this season, but Texas beat Oklahoma in the head-to-head matchup AND when Texas lost to Texas Tech it came within about one minute and one touchdown pass of remaining unbeaten. When Texas beat Oklahoma, they pretty much handled them from the beginning to the end of the game, leaving no real doubt which team was the better one. But, I had no official vote in the matter so the Sooners it is. Whatever happens I just hope we get a GOOD national championship game come January. That's all I'm askin'.

Speaking of that how do you guys see Flordia and Alabama matching up against each other Bama's O-Line against Flordia's front four

I think the Gators are better in every phase of the game. I think the only way Bama wins is if John David(?) Parker slings it for 300 yrds and 4 TDs in the air. The Gators should be able to shut Coffee down. I think the Gators have too many offensive weapons for Bama's defense even without Percy Harvin. That tightend Hernandez looks like a badass.

I get the feeling that Bama has peaked and the Gators are peaking right now...BUT, the game feels like a 27-17 kind of game....pretty close throughout.

If Missouri beats them I can see Texas playing Flordia ( I just don't see Bama beating Flordia too many weapons on both sides of the ball) I really don't see why they (the BCS) put Oklahoma ahead of Texas if they were going by style points Texas did beat A&M by like 40 I guess it was strength of schedule.:dunno:

Are you referring to MY post? 'Cause if you are, then you OBVIOUSLY didn't read it very carefully. I stated that Ohio State belongs in a BCS bowl, which they do. I do NOT believe that they belong in THE national championship game, at least not this season. As for your contention that the Buckeyes couldn't have gone unbeaten with Boise State's schedule, you may be right, but I can GUARANTEE you that with Ohio State's schedule Boise State would have had at least 4 losses, maybe more, so I think your list of BCS teams is a little whacked.

I can see that being the final score.A hard hitting type of game I was thinking 31-17 Flordia

Remove Ohio State and insert Boise State and you have it correct.
Ohio State would CRUSH Boise State in a bowl game and MUCH MORE deserves a BCS bowl bid than the "we played maybe two good teams all year" Broncos do. F*ck Boise State. I hope they play in a bowl against a GOOD BCS conference team and get their butts handed to them so that all you people who think they're *great* just because they beat up on a bunch of pansies every year will find out otherwise. I'd like to see Boise State vs. Oklahoma State as I stated before. I think that would be a pretty good matchup.

and because oregon made the picture a little clearer....the bcs teams then should be...
Alabama
Florida
Oklahoma
Texas
Cincinnati
Boston College
Penn State
USC
Utah
Ohio State
You seem pretty sure that Boston College will beat Virginia Tech. We already know which teams will be the automatic BCS entries this season. The four "at large" BCS teams will, in my opinion, be: Utah, Ohio State, Texas, and Alabama.

Alabama won't play in a BCS game they will play in the Capitol One Bowl against Ohio State when they lose to Flordia if they get a BCS bid they will be screwing over some good teams don't get me wrong Bama is a good team but that is a screw job,but once again it is the BCS.

Lou Holtz last night was saying that Alabama's O-line is strong enough to keep them in that game. I'm sure he's right, but in just about every other area (especially on offense) the Gators appear to have the advantage. We've all been surprised before, but I expect Florida to beat Alabama next Saturday, and beat them decisively.

'Bama will get a BCS bowl if it loses to Florida next week. They're 'bama, they went unbeaten through their regular season schedule, and they're the current #1 team in the country. The only way I can see the Crimson Tide NOT getting a BCS bowl bid this season is if Florida smokes 'em. I mean, kicks 'em to ***** by something like 52 - 10, or something like that. But unless something like that happens, I think the Crimson Tide will get a BCS bowl bid after next Saturday's game no matter what happens during it.

I'm thinking something more like 27 - 10 Gators, at least. I just don't think that 'bama has the offense to hang with Florida. They've got a good defense, and defense wins championships, but it would take a Herculean effort to slow Florida's offense down. I'm stickin' with U of F as the winner of that game.
