Quitting smoking

Good Luck

I quit on May 21, 2007. I used the patch and it worked for me I was smoking 3 1/2 packs a day. I did it more for the money. I could not afford them any more.

Godamn! Great job! Were you just fuckin miserable after you quit? I am really quite unhappy, but didn't touch one for 8 days. Being in a car is the hardest. I chained somked in car and now I even **** going anywhere!
This is still so hard even with the fuckin chantix. Porn, a cigarette and coffee used to be my staple. At least I still enjoy porn. Is there any way to combat this general unhappiness? Will it subside with time? Thanks.

Stopped over ten years ago and smoked for around 15 years before that day. I was smoking 35 a day when I just got up one morning and stopped dead. Never used a patch or anything else, just a bag of peanuts. They was there to break the habit of reaching for one. Instead of reaching for a smoke I ended up with a peanut instead.

As I've said many time before on here, there is only one thing that will make you stop and stay stopped, will power.

Thats utterely fantastic. Good luck and good health to you. I hope I can do as well. I am 50 and smoked a pack a day for 25 years. I am only quitting for the 2 small ****, aged 10 and 7,,,, yep,, an old ******. I'd like to be around for them for a while.

I stopped 2 yrs ago without any problems after smoking for 15 yrs.

Chewing gum did the trick for me.

I have just recently quit as well, so congrats to you for the effort. I was only smoking about 4 cigarettes per day though, so I figured why the hell not just stop. Hope all goes well for you though. I think the habit of it is harder then the actual cravings.

i dont know why people say its so hard to quit..just quit and find something else to do like look at porn movies

Typical non smoker response!:thefinger

**** did it for me, weird huh? I used to smoke heavily when I drank. Now I drink heavily instead of smoking...not good!

Very true!

I dunno. That was what I did.

Maybe I hadn't been smoking for decades like some others, but it was a few years of heavy smoking. One day I just decided I didn't want to do it anymore, and I stopped. Just like that. No patches, no nicotine gum, no help.

I understand that I was very lucky to escape it that easily though though.

Gave up the mary jane. ********* (THC) doesnt give u cancer. So get high as you can.

********* has a lot - a lot - more carcinogens than tobacco smoke. Statistics about its use are incomplete because being ******* nobody has any clue about how much is being used.To confuse things even more, users are often tobacco smokers too.The bottom line is that smoking either is bad news.

The success stories won't help this guy, sorry to say.

"Hi, My name is . . . "

Nevermind who the fuck I am !! Just f'en do whatever it takes to get me dry !! FOREVER, dammit !

Heya, Doc - Is there a serum for which you could ****** . . . . I could maybe go into some sort of hybernation . . . a **** maybe for a while ? And doc . . . you could maybe **** me after all the withdraws / dependency is purged (?) Really !! Doc ? !! I'll take a dozen . . . on the double !!!

For the last twenty five years I've been hearing that 1 reef is = to or < (greater than) a full pack of smokes (filtered).

Heard it again as recent as a week ago. Prolly just conjecture :dunno:

How in the hell do you pass the D test ?
IIRC - pot stays in the human body fatty tissues for months !!

I was thinking along these lines when I saw the other post too. I don't know about comparing 'carcinogens' but I mean smoke is smoke right? Even accidentally inhaling smoke from burning leaves isn't good for you. Logic should tell us that to ***** any type smoke into your lungs daily has to be bad in the long term. :dunno:

*10 years ans counting. *

Quitting Smoking

How many time did you try to quit before success? Have any of you abstained only to return to smoking? How did you feel? 10 days now quit. Fuck! This is difficult!

Re: Quitting Smoking

That's what I was thinking. Anywho, I quit cold turkey ten years ago and never looked back. Its hard , but not impossible. I was a chain smoking three pack a day addict. Realizing how bad it smelled and makes a person stink was a big push for me.

I quit cold turkey for two years when I smoked three packs a day.

I started back smoking about 15yrs ago and up an tell Christmas last year I smoked a carton a day.

As of Christmas last year I started to slowing down. I'm now down to 4 pack a month.

In the next few months I hope to quit.
