So what's he do with all this campaign money when he doesn't get the nomination, which looks almost certain? Does he get to keep it?

... as it resonates with those who've fought America's imperial wars of the past (lots of contributions from America's retired veterans - including mine. I've maxed out).his message of "out of iraq now" resonates with the people actually fighting
the money is restricted to his presidential campaign. he can't use it for anything else. he is currently running for his seat in the texas 14th district, and the money can not be used for that.
Interesting candidate
Every politician has to "fight" for his seat.Does Ron Paul have to fight for his Congress seat? Gee, here I thought he was loved by his district![]()
Keep dreaming ***.He will be keeping his money and he'll simply do some "creative" account deposits/withdrawals...he may have to sit on that warchest he has but, believe me, if "***** wants his yacht...***** will get his yacht"
Premium Link UpgradeThe U.S. House of Representatives reports that Congressman Ron Paul has once again run his Congressional office in a frugal manner, and he will likely return tens of thousands of dollars to the Treasury once again this year. Preliminary estimates forwarded to Paul’s office indicate he has about $75,000 left in his account.
“Since my first year in Congress representing the 14th district I have managed my office in a frugal manner, instructing staff to provide the greatest possible service to the people of the 14th district at the least possible cost to taxpayers,” said Paul.

It's called "re-election".
Part and parcel of a beautiful system that defines our constitutional republic.
What's even more fantastic is the fact that after his first stint in Congress - he walked away!Roughneck...have you heard of Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Don Young, Duncan Hunter et all? These people are multi-term Congressmen/women and are insider incumbents who rarely face a "tough re-election."
Since Ron Paul has been in and out and lately very IN politics...I figured he was just another rubber-stamped incumbent. Apparently, people in his own district aren't that fond of him anymore?:dunno:

Negator...I do know enough about Ron Paul. I mostly enjoy goofing on him and his follower minions now.
I support EXACTLY 50% of Ron Paul's agenda. I support his desire to get us out of Iraq and instill a policy of "non-intervention," which I call "Peace." I support his belief that we need to revise the Constitution in order to "eliminate" the automatic granting of citizenship to babies born on U.S. soil. Only babies born from American Citizen parents should be granted American citizenship. I agree with him that the Patriot Act and the Dept of Homeland Security need to be eliminated.
He just doesn't believe in any domestic issues that I care about.

Hey got my vote... mainly because of his position on RKBA... that's the one I care about the most. Everything was either icing or meaningless pillow talk like every other politician spews. Social issues, foreign affairs, and all that other stuff generally works itself out in the end in favor of popular opinion and/or what's best for the majority. None of them really come up with an idea so macro that it could only come from one guy. All their hair brained ideas come from a whole committee of nitwits and twits...
RKBA = the right to keep and bear arms. we're going to need that.
