Boston is going to get better and better and better with each month...it's funny that "the experts" wondered how they'd do againt the West..gee...I think KG and Ray Ray might know how to play West teams...ya think?

Unless injuries happen or unless an East power lands Kobe...(why not Miami)...Boston is going to laugh all the way to the Finals...

How does Isiah Thomas still have a job? Can someone answer me that?

The Celtics have a weak bench and a suspect PG... One injury away from trouble. None of the current big 3 Celtics have been to the show where it grinds out to a half court show. Ray Allen cant guard, Kevin is the real deal and Paul is up and down often.

Vs The Pistons : Ray Allen will be worn down by Hamilton, Wallace can match up with Kevin pretty well, Chauncy is a far better PG than any one on the Celtics, Prince has no trouble guarding Paul and can score, Antonio is still a smart player, Pistons have a better bench with Jason and Hunter and the Piston have experience in the finals.

Orlando is still vast improved, The Pistons are hungry, smarting from last year and still the overall best team in the east the past few years, Atlanta is still young and getting better,

I heard they're also dealing Stromile Swift for Jason Collins.

So they got Darko (who seems to have peaked), raw athleticism in Hakim, a future all-star in Rudy, a good shooter in Mike, a pure shooter in Juan Carlos, young guns in Conley, Lowry, Crittenton, a balding vet used to losing and an older vet used to being benched, a pair of stupid centers, Pau's *******, some draft picks, and a lot of money by the start of next year. Really, I wish them luck if they can get anyone, someone even close to an Antoine Walker to sign with them. Pathetic.

If Bynum comes back 100% and they can get some synergy going with Pau, good enough to get them a 4th seed in the West,then the Lakers are on track to win it all.

the suns know they won't be able to keep marion in phoenix anyway. shaq has no more than 1 more season before he retires, it'll be very interesting to see phoenix in the playoffs. although i don't think even this will get them to the finals and they certainly wouldn't beat the Pistons if they did. but it does send them further than they wouldv'e gone before this trade

the heat desparately need a shooter. if they keep marion for the longterm i think that's one of the few perfectly balanced trades and the heat will be back in the mix next season.

Gotta love the Lakers. Pau's the real deal. Phoenix = they're mixing things up, let's see how this turns out. Now Miami, I like the deal for them, they're doing what they should be doing, fixing things up early.

miami made the right move. shaq can make the suns better defensively and with his rebounding,like ben wallace did in detroit, shaq dosen't need to score much at all. the lakers are going to make the west very interesting the starting five plus a decent to real good bench will cause problems in the playoffs

I didn't see this coming.The Cavs picked up Ben Wallace,Joe Smith,Wally Szczerbiak and Delonte West.I think they just got better

Yeah, they certainly did. Really, not much help for the Bulls, but like I said, I think it's going to be more enjoyable to watch them. Seriously, us fans have totally given up on Wallace, and now there's the chance for the young guys to get more time. I was really happy when the Bulls first signed Wallace, but this year really exposed his weaknesses. He probably could thrive in Cleveland though. It helps having a superstar on the team. But on the Bulls, he was a waste of space.
But Cleveland got stronger. The Bulls future is still unclear, but this was a welcomed change!

It really IS an odd mix. He looked reasonably good last night. He certainly didn't lack for effort. Whether he can sustain that focus and stay healthy would seem to be a ? though.

Did you see the knot Raja Bell ended with on the back of his head after colliding with Shaq's elbow? It looked like somebody had teed up a golf ball under his scalp :eek:

At first glance it sounds like they are just giving up on the season. They got nothing in return! Looks like they want the young guys out on the court to see who develops well, who they should keep and who has to go. . . Seems like this may clear up some money to land a big name, but I don't know who is available.
