HiHi folks,
We'll be conducting a review of this part of the forum over the next few months with a view to improving users' experience of it.
We've got to start somewhere, so we've chosen to group together all of the various threads which relate to content from specific porn websites. e.g. All Over 30
You will notice a new sub-section at the top of this part of the forum where all of these threads reside. Please let us know if we've missed any!
Moving threads into their own "bucket" makes it easier to concentrate on what we've got left to sort through so these new sub-sections won't necessarily exist in the long-term, they are just there as a means of helping us organize everything in the short-term.
The plan is to create a sticky in this section which acts as an index of threads listed out by each category/niche but if people like the sub-sections, they can be left in.
We also plan to create a clear distinction within the first post of each thread (if one does not already exist) which clearly states what the purpose of the thread is for so that everyone knows what that topic is intended for and so that it doesn't stray off course in the way a lot of topics have done over time.
Before we go any further, I would just like to make it clear that IT IS OK FOR MULTIPLE THREADS ON THE SAME NICHE/FETISH TO EXIST AS LONG AS THEY ARE UNIQUE TO EACH OTHER IN SOME WAY
So, what we'd like you to do is simply:
1) report any threads you see or know of that are the same or similar (ie. threads which don't need to co-exist)
2) post links to threads which fall under the umbrella of any of the themes listed below
Note: Our index will be more detailed and nuanced than this, but these 9 sections represent a good starting point.
- Websites
- Body parts / body features / body types
- Nationalities / Ethnicities
- Locations / Landmarks
- Age groups
- Clothing & Acessories
- Poses, facial expressions, posture & camera angles
- Sex positions / sexual acts
- Retro / Classic / Vintage
The upshot of all this should be that users:
For example, just to give you an idea of what we'd like you to help with... here are a bunch of threads I have noticed myself over a period of time which are seemingly either the same or similar.
- can easily find threads of interest based on theme either using sub-sections, the index that will be created, or both
- are able to prevent the creation of duplicate threads in the future, as well as making it easier to see what threads don't already exist
- post what they are supposed to in any given thread, with what the thread is for clearly outlined in the opening post
- are left with a nice, clean & tidy, organized Niche and Fetish Corner!
It may well be that there are key distinctions to be made from one to another and therefore be justification for two or more existing like they currently do, but it will be up to you guys to point out this out.

BTW, even though the title for the thread about arrests over uncensored porn distribution is now uncensored, the URL in the first post is still censored and therefore doesn't work. So I don't know if you can find an alternative link to the news story which doesn't contain br0ther or s1ster in the URL which can be used instead?

Hmm. Looks as if it started out as a place to post links to scenes specifically from the site spermswap.com and then morphed into any old links relating to scenes involving swapping cum.
So given that the majority if not all of the initial few links in that thread it might be worth archiving those first few posts and repurposing it as a general cumswap thread if one doesn't already exist?

Done. This is a cake walk compared to the "great big sort out of FreeOnes profiles" which I am currently undertaking.
When I hear the term "mugshot" I think of photos the police take when someone has been arrested... so I think this could do with a better name? Any ideas?
What the OP had in mind is the kinds of photos you get in casting shoots where they stand straight on facing the camera and side-on etc... but I don't know if there is a name for this other than "casting photos".
Having had a while to get used to things in the new format, I just wanted to check in with you guys to ask if you prefer things being put into sub-categories or the way things used to be in one solid lump like this?

I think it's generally better this way, as it's easier to find the specific threads, with 1 caveat, that some threads combine multiple things, like the "

" thread. And sure, "legs" may be the first thing listed and the category it's assigned, but it's also about garters, stockings, and heels. And there are threads like this where I know they exist, but I have to remember they do, rather than just going down the thread lists thinking "Does this apply to what I'm wanting to post?" Then when I try to find it, it's "Which section is it in? No, not there, here either, where is it?" and I have to use the search. So I think it would be beneficial to have links in the other categories these threads overlap with, to the thread wherever it's actually located, so there's still only the 1 thread, but it's easier to find from all of its aspects.
If the inevitable crossover of subjects is the main concern, I should explain that my original idea was to create a thread index. This index would list different themes, and the same thread could appear under more than one theme.
The current section system was only meant to be temporary while I worked towards that idea. However, people seemed to like the structured layout, so we continued with it. Another reason nothing has changed yet is that there have been other issues and dramas going on, so I haven’t had the chance to focus on this.
I haven’t really had the opportunity to properly show what I mean by an index yet but the idea would be to have a sticky thread at the top of the forum. It would contain a list of topics and keywords. When you click on one, it would take you to a post showing all the threads related to that subject. This would allow the same thread to appear under multiple headings.
For example, if there’s a thread about Asian MILFs, I currently have to decide whether to put it in the age-based section or the country/ethnicity section. With an index, it could be listed under both, so there’s no need to choose just one.
Ideally, I’d use the same structure we currently have for the sub-sections, but apply it to the index instead. That way, we could reduce the number of sections and avoid having so many layers of sections within sections.
I think it will be much easier to understand once I show a working example. So I’ll try to put one together, as it’s quite hard to fully explain the idea in words alone.

I was looking at the eye-watering number of sub-sections we have the other day and was thinking that I must have been out of my mind to create them all but then I reminded myself that it was only done with for the purposes of sorting things out, which is true. It wasn't meant to be permanent, but it seems folks quite liked it that way so they stuck around. Things were still meant to have progressed further though and it is fair to say there have been a few obstacles in the way of me getting on with this project to the point that I almost forgot what I was doing or why.
Anyway, I am very much of the view that it needs to be scaled back quite heavily. I haven't forgotten about my indexing idea that I was going to share with you all but I still think it will need to be done even if we do go with that.
I'm thinking of simplifying things into these buckets:

Reducing things to just 9 categories to me sounds like we'd be going partway back to just an "endless niche and fetish section" of page after page in the more populated categories, trying to find what you want. While right now, to me at least, it seems like all the active threads are all on the first page within their own little subsection. Plus, I like how the more focused subsections means I can keep the "theme" in mind as to if the content I'm looking to post qualifies, without having to glance at the set too often, making it quicker and easier to do. But if we're back to more things in larger groups, then it's harder to keep all the characteristics in mind, and I have to take more time and I'm more likely to miss something.
