Not tired of losing, Trump will join Texas in their SCOTUS case:

Trump: "We will be INTERVENING in the Texas (plus many other states) case. This is the big one. Our Country needs a victory!"

The country already got its victory. Trump's ego is the only one 'need[ing] a victory'!

Things like that are part of the reason I quit trying to fix stupid a long time ago in my life. A much younger version of myself was sort of naive in that he figured if he could only reason with people, show them evidence and facts, and appeal to their better nature he could turn people around. It almost never happened. You can't reason or show evidence to a person that doesn't follow reason. You can't appeal to one's better nature when none exist in that person. It's one of the harshest lessons I've had to come to terms with in my life.

It reminds me of a Bill Murray quote, "It's hard to win an argument against a smart person, but it's damn near impossible to win an argument against a stupid person."

At this point you need somebody that's not good at reasoning and facts, but somebody who is good at deprogramming cultist, and I just don't have the will or time to do that. Sometimes you just have to write people off.

It's not even some smart or charismatic cult leader. People fell for a fucking profoundly stupid orange clown. It's weird. Four years ago I never would have figured such a large cult would have sprang up in such a short period of time to encompass such a sizeable portion of this country. I had extremely low expectations for the people in this country and yet for so many of them they crashed through the bottom of even that.

Those 'bookies' really missed it. They should be investigated for misleading the public.

Here's a nice compendium of the pending election litigation: Premium Link Upgrade

I wonder where the Texas AG stands on this case 🤔

From the case summary:
County governments responded to Abbott’s July 27 order by establishing multiple sites for their residents to use to drop off absentee ballots. Harris County, for example, is the home of Houston and the most populous county in Texas, with over 4 million residents; it is 1,777 square miles, larger than the state of Rhode Island. Harris County created 11 drop-off sites, while Travis County – with 1.2 million residents – created four sites. On Oct. 1, Abbott issued a second order limiting each county to one drop-box site per county and requiring counties to close any existing sites that they had already created.
Too bad our resident Texas election law expert (@ChuckFaze) isn't around to opine on the case's merits.

Why Republicans still refuse to accept Trump's defeat

Trumps attempt to illegally keep power is like the plot of a bad movie.
I wouldn't put anything past ahole Trump, even a violent coup attempt.
Hopefully the brown noses around him come to their senses and convince him to leave peacefully.

Make it a circus. With the biggest clown.🤡 -- Have President Trump testify under oath.

They'll get him on perjury, corruption, fraud, bribery, conspiracy, obstruction under 18 U.S. Code sections 1621, 1623 and 1001.

It would be awesome if Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justice Samuel Alito say no that they don't want to hear AG Paxton's argument.

That would be awesome, but - alas - SCOTUS does not hear witnesses.

Unfortunately, we will probably be left with a similar situation as the PA appeal: a refusal to hear the case and no report on the vote tally.

You misspelled 'shirts' in your comment.
I should have written "Hopefully the brown noses around him grow some backbones and convince Trump to leave peacefully."

Cruz may be getting packed into the clown car:

I still think the odds of the case being heard are fairly low though.

I agree the Justices will not want to hear this case that AG Paxton is preparing for.

Ugh oh. Maybe Ted Cruz is doing pro-bono work? Because you know Trump can't pay.

What happened to the "Elite Strike *****" aka Rudy, Jenna and sometimes Sydney - aren't they the best legal minds in the country? Haha. I guess not.

Although seriously, Trump would be a fool not to use Victoria Toensing or Joe DiGenova to argue the case in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.

17 Premium Link Upgrade have now tethered themselves to this sinking ship. Not sure what they're hoping to gain.
The referenced commentary is a very good one:

"The new winner for hubris and cynicism may be the action that the state of Texas filed directly in the Supreme Court late Monday night."

If this doesn't clinch the 'cult' feeling, nothing will:
