Anybody else seen this movie thinking it would be lame and thought it was funny as hell? OK, granted, hubby and I weren't exactly sober but we laughed our asses off. Seth is my Francoise Dillinger.
I saw it over the weekend with my girlfriend. Michael Cera and his quiet talking really isn't my thing, but I've gotta admit - I actually like the damn movie. There was evidence of some fantastic writing in the dialogue as well.
"And why aren't you wearing any pants?"
(pause, puts hand on friend's shoulder)
"Solidarity."
this movie isn't funny.
qft???
Anyhoo, this looks funny, I will most likely check it out when it comes out on DVD or the really, really cheap theatre.
I liked Juno though :shy:
I haven't seen Superbad

It's terrible. Unless you're a sex obsessed 12 year old boy who loves dick jokes.

I actually enjoyed Superbad. It reminded me of high school, I wasn't trying to get laid as bad as them in the movie but had many similar experiences. It also is the way my friends and I used to swear a lot (which is weird because now I don't swear really anymore).
Anyways, still haven't seen Youth in Revolt. I kinda want to but will probably just wait for it on DVD. Michael Cera might have to be careful, he's definitely being typecasted in the same role a lot.
well aren't you just a big ole barrel of happiness! Too little testosterone for you? Not enough car chases, explosions and jiggly bits? Bet $10 you never saw the movie.
For those who aren't turned off by movies that aren't Die Hard, try it, you'll like it.
He should branch off and do something serious, return to comedies, then play a psychopathic killer in a film. Show he can act in different areas instead of the awkward teenage looking for sex/girlfriend.
You owe me $10. I saw it in theatres. Easily the worst "comedy" I've ever seen. It would have been funny had I seen it when I used to be a 13 year old girl, but those days are gone now. Besides, that movie is a huge rip off of American Pie, except instead of "Jocks", it's "Nerds". :crash:
Anybody remember when teen romance/comedies were good?
R.I.P John Hughes.
