You're in a time machine...

When was prohibition? Because, I'd travel back in time to the day before prohibition started and bitch slap the asshole that OK'd the dry law and then drink *** until I threw up.

1919 about so you would want 1920 I guess. We have prohibition today making gangsters rich just like the 20s.Its known as the war on *****.

anywhere from 1890-1920 New York City, or Europe during and post WW2

NY from 1890-1920 would be cool. But europe during ww2 or postwar is looking to die or live on very little I think. It would be interesting but dangerous lol.

there's no way i'd fuck with the space-time continuum. the smallest change in the past will alter everything we know today. theoretically, of course.

I assume it's like the Jules Verne time machine? You only travel through time, not space.

If so I'd go back to 1871. I'd see what really caused the Great Chicago Fire.

Of course, if it only travels through time and NOT space, then odds are whenever you popped up you would end up in space and quickly die. The Earth isn't stationary; it's traveling at roughly 66,700 miles per hour. And since it takes the Earth 1 year to travel around the Sun, you would have to go back in time at exactly one year intervals or you would end up dead in space. And even then you probably would miss it.

i would go back to the 1930's - early 1940's around the time of Al Capone and Elliot Ness and the start of World War 2

Venice anytime from 1300-1700

Nice pics, but you would be better off limiting that to 1400-1700 and therby skip the black plague in the 1340s which wiped out more than 50% of population of europe.

"European outbreak"
"The Black Death rapidly spread along the major European sea and land trade routesIn October 1347, a fleet of Genovese trading ships fleeing Caffa reached the port of Messina, Italy. By the time the fleet reached Messina, all the crew members were either infected or dead. It is presumed that the ships also carried infected rats and/or fleas. Some ships were found grounded on shorelines, with no one aboard remaining alive. Looting of these lost ships also helped spread the disease. From there, the plague spread to Genoa and Venice by the turn of 1347–1348.
From Italy the disease spread northwest across Europe, striking France, Spain, Portugal and England by June 1348, then turned and spread east through Germany and Scandinavia from 1348 to 1350. It was introduced in Norway in 1349 when a ship landed at Askøy, then proceded spread to Bjørgvin (modern Bergen). Finally it spread to north-western Russia in 1351; however, the plague largely spared some parts of Europe, including the Kingdom of Poland and parts of Belgium and the Netherlands."

That time travel stuff could land you in a bad place. lol

Plague of 1630 is the one that I'd worry about.

Yeah apparently especially in Venice that was as bad as the earlier one. That why I think I would still stick to a more modern age, little things like plagues lol.

i guess if i played along, id go back and stop AIDS from starting. how dare they ruin sex for us. all the times i wanted to just put it in a girl and i couldn't because of the worry. (or the times i said fuck it and had to worry)

ah, how nice it would have been all those years to not worry about it.

Got to go with the 1950s. It was the calm time for the US after WW2. It began with Korea, sure...It was the beginning of the Cold War, sure...but it sure would've been cool to hang out with Ralph and Ritchie and the Fonz...wait...that was TV?????

Yeah that was TV,but you could have hung out with Robert Young of "****** Knows Best" who was a major alchoholic at the time.Or waited for Billy Gray his son on the show to be a heroin addict in the 60s.:glugglug:

I never thought about orbital speed when I have Time Machine fantasy's. I guess it's just another hole in time travel. Dr. Moses Nebogipfel traveled through time but always stayed in Wales. The same way Dr. Brown stayed in Hill Valley.

I'd like to live through the Iliad, but I'm not traveling to Turkey, unless the boffins ****** me and take me there.
