Nile - Those Whom the Gods Detest
This album was surprisingly great. I hadn't truly enjoyed Nile since about 2000 until I got ahold of it.
I still wouldn't throw it in my favorites though...
Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vetusta II: Dialogue With The Stars
Ignivomous - Death Transmutation
Portal - Swarth
Gorged Afterbirth - Gorged Afterbirth
Abysmal Torment - Omnicide
Tribulation - The Horror
The Chasm - Farseeing The Paranormal Abysm
Denial - Catacombs Of The Grotesque
General Surgery - Corpus In Extremis: Analysing Necrocriticism
Vomitory - Carnage Euphoria
Anaal Nathrakh - In The Constellation Of The Black Widow
Waning - Population Control
Squash Bowels - Grindvirus
Korpiklaani - Karkelo
Mumakil - Behold The Failure
This is a small list of my favorites in the general spectrum of Metal. Outside of Metal, this year has been... Egh... Snowgoons material disappointed, the new Army Of The Pharaohs got pushed to next year, most new Hardcore/Gabber releases have been boring... Mainstream Rock/Rap is mostly as bad as ever. BLA.
I did like Sean Paul - Imperial Blaze though, and MC Esoteric's Saving Seamus Ryan is great, as well as Apathy's Wanna Snuggle? Randam Luck - Graveyard Shift has it's moments, certainly not a bad Hip-Hop album by any means.
T-Junction - Without Me is a decent EP I guess, 3 out of 4 good songs isn't so bad. Komprex & Noisekick - We Raise The Wipeout EP is fun times too. Outrage & Prolaxx - Underground EP is the floor-killer of the year! S.R.B. - The Fifth Booster is Dione's alter-ego still doing
good tracks, unlike the new Dione album. The Destroyer - Italian Madness EP, he still got it! Oh, and the entirety of Promo's Quality Control is amazing.
Wisp - The Shimmering Hour and Venetian Snares - Filth are fairly interesting, although Filth certainly isn't even close to Funk's best work.
