Your favorite Johnny Depp movie

Spleen

Banned?
Difficult. He is an amazing actor, and seems like a geniunely nice bloke.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is probably my first choice.

Jack Sparrow was the ONLY redeeming feature of that terrible Pirate bullshit.

And I'm praying Public Enemies will be my new favourite...

He's my favorite actor so most all of em. Fear and Loathing was great, Pirates, Sleepy Hollow, and it goes on.

I'm a big Depp fan and I like pretty much all his movies and I'm really waiting to see Public Enemies.

its sad too say edward sissorhands is the only flim that pops in my mind out of all the others he has been in. every time i think of johnny i think of that moive and how he died in nightmare on elm street. I dont know if that is a good or a bad thing help me out.

Don't sleep on "Don Juan DeMarco!"

I enjoyed "Blow" quite a bit. "A Nightmare on Elm Street" as well. Also the first "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie. If I had to pick just one, it's probably Pirates. He really stood out in that movie.

What does looking like someone have to do with acting the role?

And btw...as a HUGE Howard Hughes fan I was apprehensive about Leo's casting but you know what? He was awesome in that.

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Just saw Public Enemies and I must say I came away a bit disappointed. In retrospect, I don't know why other than there was so much hype about this flick and the fact that it was Johnny Depp who was starring in it so maybe I expected a little too much. As gangster movies go, it was good....as good a "Dillinger" movie as there ever was (even better than 1973's Dillinger with Warren Oates). Depp was terrific and made a great Dillinger character. In fact, take him out of the movie and replace him with some run-of-the-mill talent and there's no way the movie comes off so in that respect it was typical Johnny Depp brilliance. And (OMG!) Marion Colillard as Billie Frechette!!! She was great and what a babe!!!

Anyway, it's worth the time to go see if you're a Depp fan like me but I don't think you're looking at anything close to it being his best film.

I've probably not even seen half of his stuff (esp. from the last several years) but I did like Gilbert Grape and Scissorhands.

I am also a fan of Sleepy Hollow, although I know that's not one of his more critically acclaimed films. But I dug it.
