Your favorite Chillout Music

Preferably something without vocals but that's not a rule. A lost of what's posted above covers it basically, especially the post-rock stuff: Godspeed You! Sigur Rós, etc. A few singer/songwriters I'm into - Tom Waits of course. Folksy stuff. Plus I'll also listen to classical or jazz when I'm not in the mood for anything else I've already alluded to.

Ace Bandage

The one and only.

I couldn't personally get into DeathCab, but I really like that Postal Service album - and I don't usually like electronic music. Strange how that works out. I wish those guys would do another album but they don't seem interested right now.

Hiliary 2020
for me its the Pumpkins al the way.
they are one of or maybe the greatest chill out band ever.
a few years ago i would have said Pink Floyd, some Doors and Kinks stuff,Tom petty, and 70's soft rock/pop and bands like the Cure and other alternative stuff
But the more i hear smashing pumpkins the more i am convinced that Billy Corgan is the best rock songwriter ever, and i realize what a bold statement that is.
They have so many songs too, about 300 and most are somewhat hard to find.
i also love how many of their songs start out slow and come to a hard climax, kinds like fucking.
just a few examples:

Jimmy Chamberlain is one of the best rock drummers ever too.

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
I don't like chillout music.
I associate it with the missus returning it home, sticking it on, sitting next to me on the sofa, putting her feet on me and nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging nagging and nagging Until I finally give in and rub her feet. If I stop too soon she'll moan. Since too soon is anytime before she falls asleep, that means aching hands and no sex. Not fun when I'm forbidden to crack one off.
Yes she does wear the trousers, how could you tell?!

Glenn Danzig's mellow side is equally as awesome as his heavy rocking side. Insanely underrated singer/songwriter.

Hard to pick a favorite but this may be it.
