"PWinsider.com is reporting that Bruce Prichard, known to wrestling fans as ******* Love, has been released from WWE. Prichard has been a longtime employee of the company, working backstage in an editing capacity and as a producer."

- The word going around WWE is that Mike Adamle is finished, at least for the short term and quite possibly for good. Both sides came to the agreement that Adamle was not cut out for the business so that's why he was taken off TV as the RAW General Manager.
A lot of people in WWE said it was a fitting end to his WWE run that he fumbled his words badly on his final night on TV.

Too bad about that. he had a neat angle for a very short time as the GM. Not great, but at least interesting. We're back to the mcMahon wars now, which can be entertaining, but are becoming seriously played out. Hornswoggle for GM! Anything to get him out of Finlay's matches...
During a recent radio interview on Eagle 105.7, ProWrestling.net reports that Hulk Hogan talked about the negative reaction that Vince McMahon has had to the "********* Championship Wrestling" reality show on CMT and how McMahon felt it exposed the business too much. Hogan also took a shot at McMahon saying that Vince putting the WWE Title on Triple H so much over the years exposes the business more than his reality show does.
Steve Bradley, a former WWF/WWE developmental talent in the late 1990s, was found dead today in a parking lot across the street from a wrestling school he ran in Manchester, NH. Bradley was believed to be either 31 or 32 years old. A cause of death has yet to be determined.
As things stand right now, TNA has no idea what Christian Cage plans to do. The feeling is that the angle they shot two weeks ago for Impact protects them based on whatever decision he makes as if he doesn't sign a new contract then the angle wrote him off and if he does then they have a revenge angle ready to go. It should be noted that from the WWE's side of things, Christian's name has come up, but it was more brought up in the way of if they sign him as opposed to plans being made right now now. Reports did state an offer was on the table right now. Brian Gewirtz reportedly wants him on Raw if a deal happens because he likes writing for him.
It should be noted that Vince McMahon was the one who made the call on stopping his push in 2005. For whatever reason, Vince was said to be very negative on him a few years back during a time when others in creative were big supporters of him, although most agreed with Vince's assessment of him. Michael Hayes and Edge are reportedly said to be pushing for WWE to sign him and put him on Smackdown and to put Edge and Christian back together. Most feel he could get a big push right at the start, although given the current environment where they give up on names pretty quickly, it is possible Christian could be moved to the middle if his return isn't received well.
There is some thought that if he comes back and gets a big response that he will be okay, but if the crowd is flat that Vince could make a snap decision and go back to feeling he is only a mid-card talent at best. In the end, the choice to stay or go is a big one. On one hand if he left TNA for WWE he would be getting a harder schedule and an uncertain push that could lead to frustration early on, but much more money. On the other hand if he stayed with TNA he would have less travel, more free time, solid but not great money and a guaranteed stop near the top.

WWE Creative Reportedly Pitching Ideas for a Kurt Angle Return

"The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE creative has begun brainstorming return scenarios in the event that Kurt Angle decides to return to the company when his TNA contract expires next September. It should be noted that these meetings are simply preliminary, and that no concrete decisions have been made by Kurt Angle in any way. WWE officials were surprised when Angle recently did a shoot interview speaking highly of WWE and even Triple H, which gave them the feeling that he may be more willing to return to the company than people had originally thought.
If Angle does return to WWE, we would most likely see him work a lighter schedule similar to what Shawn Michaels works, where he would appear on TV tapings, PPV's and the occasional house show. It should be noted that although WWE would most likely bring Kurt back into the company if he wanted to return, there are those backstage who feel bringing him back would be a mistake as his departure to TNA two years ago was marred by controversy and his physical condition was a serious concern."

"The wrestling world waits with baited breath to see where Christian (Cage) winds up. But does it really matter? Is he going to make a major difference anywhere? Did he make a major difference at TNA?
The answers are no, no and no. Not hatin’. Just sayin’.
I find Christian to be an entertaining performer, even if that CLB (Creepy Little Bastard) moniker did have a basis in fact looks-wise. But being an entertaining performer and drawing money are two different things.
No one is drawing money right now besides WWE as a brand name and John Cena as a merchandise distributor. Everyone else, sad to say, is incidental filler, ****** off in WWE by the “audience of one” mentality and ****** off in TNA by the fact that very few care about the promotion. Kurt Angle, Mick Foley. Christian and other WWE alumni have been exposed in TNA because they just haven’t made a tangible difference. WWE made them hot back in the day, not vice-versa.
When it comes time for a guy like Christian to choose a promotion, he’s making a few decisions within the decisions.
He’s choosing whether he wants to be a star, or somebody that works in pro wrestling. To the vast majority of the general public, the WWE guys are the stars. One WWE fan in my hometown, Pittsburgh, recently asked me, “Whatever happened to Kurt Angle?” Remember, Angle also lives in Pittsburgh. TNA doesn’t exist to most people.
He’s choosing whether he wants to work a breakneck schedule, or live a life of relative leisure for good money. This is where Angle made the right choice. Working the TNA schedule not only prolonged his career, it probably prolonged his life. Working the WWE schedule might have ****** him.
For a performer at Christian’s level, money is almost incidental when it comes to deciding. Either way, he’ll do fine. Job security is about the same, too. WWE is releasing a lot of talent, but nobody at Christian’s level.
The “disappearance” of Angle and Foley upon reaching TNA makes you realize that it's almost impossible for a wrestler to maintain a sense of stardom to the general public without being part of the WWE machinery. Scott Hall’s greatest fame and drawing power came when he was in WCW, but at indie shows and during (ahem) unscheduled appearances on TNA, the fans always chant, “Razor, Razor.”
If I were Christian, I’d sign with WWE. At 35, he’s relatively young, and would be put in a good spot. His promos are outstanding and now, more than ever, wrestling is primarily about talking and character development. Edge seems to have carved out a permanent niche as a top guy in WWE. Christian’s always-available association with Edge would serve him well. Christian’s health seems good, so the schedule wouldn’t be a problem.
If anyone is really rooting for Christian to go back to WWE, it’s Tomko. Tomko recently re-signed with WWE and could really use that link.
But to get back to my original point, what’s the difference? If Christian stays with TNA, TNA will still be the little engine that can’t. If Christian goes to WWE, it won’t add appreciable buzz nor result in an upturn (or downturn) in business.
Wrestling fans fret about the most inconsequential things. But that’s going to happen, because wrestling is becoming more inconsequential by the day. Mickey Rourke, don’t fail us now.
WRESTLING’S SEAN AVERY
Is there a bigger pig than Batista? In his autobiography, he regaled us with tales of all the girls he’s screwed. Wow. I am SO impressed.
Also in said autobiography, Batista bragged about nailing Melina, who – at the time – was supposed to be in a monogamous relationship with Johnny Nitro. Now, in a recent interview, Batista talked about “dating” Kelly Kelly. But in an interview of her own, Kelly says that she's in a relationship with Andrew “Test” Martin. Hey, Batista! Get your own girl, you jerk!
The whole thing would be boring, except it backs up my recent assertion in this column that the divas are the new rats. Remind me to tell you sometime about the former WWE diva who used to specialize in banging married guys not long after their wives had given birth. Headed for them just like a homing pigeon.
Some might think that all this frenzied rutting among employees is normal given the circumstances of the job, and maybe that’s true. But consider this: What if all this serial fornicating – with a too-healthy dollop of adultery thrown in – went on under the roof of a major corporation like, say, Federated? Would it be tolerated?
Of course it wouldn’t. But, in the case of WWE, that’s why the girls were put on the road in the first place.
JEFF HARDY IN THE STAIRWELL
Debate taste issues all you like when it comes to the Jeff Hardy OD fake-out, but at the end of the day, it served WWE no positive purpose, i.e., it didn’t work. No buzz, no pop, no rating, no buy rate. That’s how these things should be judged.
I hope you didn’t need this incident to realize WWE has no respect for those who really did sacrifice their lives while working for the company. That’s been evident all along. Unless you’re married to the princess, WWE employees are chattel, totally interchangeable. But as long as that Eddie Guerrero DVD sells, hey…all’s well that ends well"
