I can't say there is absolutely no scenario where I would pay that amount for a porn's site's membership, but I have a hard time thinking of one. The content would have to be spectacular, like guy invents a time machine and brings all my favorite adult models from the present and past together and pays them millions of dollars to do hardcore type spectacular.
I was about to say,
"no how, no way... hell to the no!" But in a case like that ^^^, yeah, I'd pay the $59. Get Christy, Ginger and Vanessa (in their respective primes) together with Xo Gisele in a series of lezdom episodes (where Gisele is the "treat"), and I'd pay $159. But outside of, as you said, something spectacular...
To be fair, I don't find much in porn or adult modeling to be all that appealing these days. Too much of the content is same old same old that I've seen for years. And too many of the models look like inked up plastic surgery experiments gone bad. But to each his own. So outside of the time machine idea, I wouldn't give $29/mo. to join a site a second thought, much less $59. Sorry.
As for content production costs, sorry, but porn is no different than any other business. Customers generally don't care what producer costs are. They care about perceived value and how that fits into their budgets. And with porn, raising prices way above the average is harder because it's got about the most elastic demand curve that you can get. There's no "must have" attached to it. But if a girl has a great following and offers enough people what they're willing to pay those kind of bucks for, she (or her site owner) will probably be able to pull it off. But despite people in the industry not wanting to admit it, there's just so much free content floating around now, for the average girl/site, I figure that would be a very tough sell longer term.
