No, it's nothing like that at all. Sometimes comparisons aren't applicable. This would be one of those scenarios.
How awkward would it be to go out to dinner and have horny perverts constantly interrupting your meal to ask for an autograph or say that they're a fan of your woman's work? Or your woman comes home and she's tired...but she's tired from work where you know she's been having sex with people other than you all day. What are the odds she's going to want to have MORE sex with you when she gets home?
Then in the back of your mind, you're always going to be thinking about STD's, etc. Not to mention how open you have to be initially because of the whole infidelity thing. Call it a job all you want but she's still being sexually intimate with other men all day long. There might not be that emotional connection but is that really going to matter to the male libido and ego?
Dating a tennis player or a dental hygienist is not going to bring those problems and worries. I wouldn't worry about my parents asking a tennis player what they did for a living...there's a reason pornography has a negative social stigma.
I think one of the other countless threads about this should have been brought up instead of a new one created. Like my answer in the other ones I wouldn't do it assuming by "pornstar" the person that created this thread meant hardcore actresses. An adult model I could possibly have an relationship with depending on who she was and how she was in real life. Having somebody be a pornstar on the other hand is an absolute deal breaker and there is no chance I would ever have a relationship with one beyond being friends. Most normal people out there aren't going to see it as a normal job. Whatever way people try to spin it that's going to be the reality of it. I wouldn't be surprised if most people on this messageboard wouldn't even do it, and we're much more forgiving about adult stuff than most of the rest of the world.
