You wouldn't want it, in fact nobody did. During the 80s it sat on a trailer in a Lotus dealership lot (next door to where a friend worked) in N Cal. It was only a wet sub and not a well built one at that. It wasn't locked, anyone could have backed a car/truck with a hitch setup and driven off with it. After a couple of years we joked that they were probably hopeing someone would.
Maybe they should be sold to women and old people these car boats. This way when they crash or go places where there isn't a fucking road, there wont be as many accidents.
That's what I thought of when I saw this thread too. It would be the perfect getaway vehicle... If you didn't have to put all the breathing gear on before going into the water.
